I enjoyed Clarkey's so much, I thought YouTube footage was worth a thread of its own. Also both WFN and the blog should also refer to these whenever found.

I think there's a function available in YouTube to make public a favourites list, which one of us should be able to do, and then give the link to the axis of evil (WFN, clarkey and Bigfooty) :D

We all post the updates and off we go!

Blast from the past ...

VFL vs Ireland (1986) from the WACA

here is the second test from Waverley Park:

and the third test from Football Park in Adelaide:

Quite a few premiership Hawks players in that line-up Dipper, Langford, Brereton and Platten ...

Note the lack of violence. The Aussies were hard but fair. They didn't ride players into the ground back then, which makes it not very interesting ;) And the drop-kick was still very much in vogue with the Australian players to get extra distance with the round ball.

The Central Blues AFC are recruiting for the 2010 OAFL (Ontario Australian Football Club) in Toronto - Canada:

If you're travelling to Toronto (Canada) anytime soon and wanted to have a kick while you're there - we're always looking for new players and members. We're probably the most social footy club in the OAFL. 2010 will be the club's 4th season since joining the league in 2006. So we're a young and developing club. But with a great core of experienced Australians and Canadians we've quickly become one of the strongest clubs in the 10 club competition. Pre-season starts around Feb/Mar and the season proper kicks off in May and finishes off with the Grand Final the weekend after the AFL GF.

To contact the club to find out more about joining please email info@bluesafc.ca or visit www.bluesafc.ca
