Vince McMahon steps down from TKO amid allegations

Honestly, I feel like I know the story pretty well. WWF is full sh1t people who have done terrible things, but my view is there was never sufficient evidence of his guilt, and I don't think that people should throw out accusations of sexual assault of a minor against someone when there is little hard evidence to support.

Anyway, I have derailed the thread enough. You are clearly worked up so I back off.

Given that added context, it was a complete derailment of the thread if you decided to interject your defence of Patterson as the hill you wanted to die on given everything that's happened in the last 24 hours.

This is what sets my alarms off. There was a pattern and I find it too hard to believe all these guys made it up out of thin air.

Anyways, back to McMahon, hopefully this is the end of him. He's been the ultimate Teflon Don for 40 years.

In a crazy way, we needs to be completely erased, Benoit-Style, from the company that he spent 40 years building into an empire.

Why the **** would anyone care what one degenerate grub has to say about another?

I believe this all happened, most die hard wrestling fans that are now adults that lived through the attitude era to when he bought WCW can really see the changes in the mans on screen personality.

He became so disgusting with female talent.

I really hope Hunter hasn't covered this up, I guess what can people do his a powerful man, can the whole company call him out? It's just not realistic.

I remember on podcast JR talking about saying once to Vince which Diva is it this week (In regards to storyline) with Vince just laughing.

They all had to know but I'm not surprised they didn't come forward, put yourself in their shoes.

The only problem I have is alot of examples of women making up stories the last couple years for a pay day, I don't believe this is the case but unfortunately alot of those women have made a mockery of the Me Too movement.

Wasn't Hunter part of the "investigation" last year?

As if he was ever gonna do any real investigation against his papa-in-law who allowed him to have his ring career as well as corporate one while marrying his daughter? Was never gonna happen. A complete sham.

A lot?

As few as 2% of sexual assault accusations are found to have no basis (of course it's not a stat you'll ever get an accurate picture of).

The notion that you'd go through the complaints process just to... what? Try and get some money? Try and ruin someone's reputation? It's just not founded in reality.

I just recently watched the interview Pat Macafee had with Vince on his show, and seeing all the comments of pure praise for Vince & Pat, was actually a good interview but my god, this is insane the allegations here, sickening, if true he needs to be behind bars and anyone who helped cover all this up need to be turfed from the industry, clean house needed!

First domino has fallen wouldn't surprise me if more sponsor's and advertisers jump ship after horrible Vince news of last few days.

Not against it if true, but is that confirmed though? That 'article' itself just references another tweet as a source which were 'rumblings'.

So many of these twitter pages just recycle each other's guesswork for engagement. Same campaigners are the ones that ramp up the tribalism too.

Yep. If we’re going by Twitter and “journalists” then WWE have signed Sasha Banks and AEW have signed Mercedes Mone. If people just throw enough shit out there they’ll eventually get something right.

Are there more allegations against Brock Lesnar other than 'Vince offering explicit videos to help get him to sign another contract'?

Just curious, because I'm seeing people say that Brock will never wrestle for the WWE ever again now, but that accusation actually doesn't suggest he did anything wrong whatsoever.

It may just prove how despicable and out of touch Vince is that he believes that's the best way to get the signature of one of the world's biggest wrestling stars.

Time will tell I guess.

as the modern spin on the old saying goes "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach penis"

Pretty hard to sack someone because they were sent something disgusting.

All comes down to the messages i guess.

Vince for all we know was telling her he showed the whole production truck and they went wild just to get himself off, fantasy type crap.

it's official now.

Wouldn't surprise me if Vinnie Mac escapes from all this with his reputation intact. He'll run the "she's a gold-digger, she consented to this, we paid her well" line and unpopular opinion, but: he showered her with gifts- expensive clothes, a BWM etc. and there's text messages where she consents to screwing this JL bloke every week. And she only sued when the money dried up- she'd got a million but wanted three.

Maybe in Vinnie Mac's steroid, cocaine, billionairre playboy life he did think he had consent? Not a stretch to think he was that disconnected from reality that he thought what he was doing was not illegal or even morally corrupt.

Anyway.

I think the implication was that Lesnar was a willing participant.

I wonder how much she recieved from him financially?

Gaaawn. No way of a hostile takeover of his own company board this time though.

Hopefully his limo blew up on the way out.
