3. Browny - Never gives up. They talk about Archer been gutsy and strong, take a look at Browny and then you will see what being gutsy is all about.

2. Robbie Campbell - Up against an AA ruckman and IMO won the contest. Ran all around the ground. Never gave up.

1. Sewell - Good tagging job by Sewell. Had a stella 10 mins in the 3rd quater and had a pretty solid game all round.

Special mention to Croad. The quiet achiever.

Dissapointed with tonight's effort. Was a shocking team performance.

Oh... you mean hawthorn players?

Agree with Matt Murder. Franklin really did try hard and for ONCE this year I was impressed with his effort off the ball. Even spent some time in the mid field. Maybe he can become our wingman when William returns

Sewell, Campbell and Brown played well, that's it though. Pretty disappointing from everyone else.

Every now and then we just seem to have a really bad game, disposals, efforts, everything by the majority of the team is just poor. We usually play all right again the next week, this time though there is no next week unfortunately. So I'd give votes to the 3 I mentioned, a bad game by the other 19.

3. Sewell
2. Croad
1. Vandenberg

Ritchie did a great job on wells and harris when he was on them, it was when they went foward and got new oponents that they really hurt us.

Also did others get the feeling that dicko knows it was his last game, watching him come off the ground he seemed to not be declaring it, but knew it was his last match.

Hard to find good players for the Hawks to be honest. Worst on Ground for you guys though was Ladson. Everything he touched turned to sheizen. Umpires were BOG tonight. ;)

GO TIGES!!!

didnt think laddo was that bad...

hodgey got touched up tho by rawlings, ended up with 8 touches, with two in the last half, but u dont know how injured he was

without being to emotional/borderline stupid, the umpires were atrocious. cant label one, but they all helped in our defeat.

What pisses me off, right up there with some of the fingerprints in the back, is the play on and not rewarding the tackler for holding the ball. Resulted in a kangas goal from memory, and hodgey had a word or two to the umps. sure it does promoted a running game, but then whats the point in tackling, if u dont get the ball?

aaaah and how out when edwards dragged the ball in, right near the cheer squad, and it WASN'T holding the ball, absolute shit.

oh ye, votes

despite everyone raving about McIntosh over the last two times we have played them, Campbell was sensational, not forgetting Taylor who really did show some terrific effort and even poise last night. sure McIntosh got about 8-10 possies more, but he laid no tackles, compared with Campbell's six, and Taylor's three, shows how not all "ruckman of the future" and possession gathering big men, but hard working footballers.

Also a point about Hodgey, he had ten tackles, cant have a go at his effort,

Also Brown and Sewell's run and effort to make contests was exceptional. Pure determination and grit shone, in wat was a poor performance regarding ball use. on that point Laddo did have poor disposal, but did work his but off

So
3 Sewell, absolutely outstanding effort, ran so hard, kept Harvey quite for a while, (two of his goals were weak free kicks), and showed effective disposal, which was quite rare in our midfield. Capped of a terrific year, with skill and determination
2 Campbell, really did stand out, and moved well around the ground. Moved foward well, and is really utilising his body and strength, to which Dermie pointed out some 4-5 years ago. He and Taylor have had a stellar year, and like Brown, aren't the best or most talented players (well....:) ) but they due the Brown and Gold proud, and will do for many years to come:thumbsu:
1 Brown, his effort probably doesnt reflect just one vote, but the other two stood out for me. Was just himself, which is more than anyone would require from a professional AFL footballer

soz, i just had to get it all out..:p

#13 Simon Taylor looked the only one pumped up taking the field - and played well the big man. Sewell did alright also.

Everyone else nowhere - went out trying to rough up Grant/Harvey didn't even do that with any real result - you take em out or you don't bother.

They played the man and not the ball.
