3 McVeigh
2 Houli
1 Lloyd

McVeigh was brilliant all day, ran his guts out the whole game. Houli is going to be a star, has poise, good disposal and plenty of speed. Lloydy was great today, would have given him 2, but he missed a couple of easy ones.

Apologies to NLM, Dempsey, McPhee and Rama

3. Lloyd- Great game. Dominated and had by far the biggest impact on the game
2. Mcveigh- super midfielders game. Was everywhere
1. Watson- Best handball release player going around

Apologies to Hille, Rama, Davey, Mcphee and Houli (all though lets not get carried away with him)

Not sure why we shouldn't get excited about Houli. I think he has shown in his last 4 games that he can add great speed, skill and guts to either the midfield or the back half. Yes its early days, but by what we have seen so far he looks great. Infact every time I see him with the ball I sit up a bit straighter to watch what he does with it. His kicking is excellent, but his hands are amazing.

Not to crash your board, but congrats to your boys today.
I thought it was an outstanding come back.
The best game I saw over the round (didn't see the Pies so can't comment)
Houli really looks like an excellent pick-up and really good to see Rama back in touch.

Cheers

Thanks mate. Don't take this the wrong way but its nice to hear from an intelligent objective pies supporter. Real refreshing!

McVeigh is expected to play like he did today so he's not included in my best....same with Lloydy, who did a great job as usual today.

Hille was good too.

My votes for the 'kids' were...

Houli

Dempsey

and Jobe.:thumbsu:

Rama....what a game by the little champ!

I don't understand that logic. How brilliant must McVeigh or Lloyd play for you to nominate them as vote getters? If they are the best on the groun, regardless of what they are expected to do, then thats what they are BOG.

Would Judd or Goodes have won Brownlows if the umps took your logic? After all, they are just dominating like they are supposed to.

Rising star nomination to boot.....You blokes must be getting happier every minute.

See you on ANZAC day for an "epic".

3. Mark Mcveigh
2. Matty Lloyd
1. Adam Ramanauskas

First two are clear choices but, i think Rama played a great game across half back, set up alot of plays, and racked up about 23 posesions as well.

Agreed, and he is so very damaging. Killed the Roos with his perfect disposal and choice....He will be our biggest recruit this year....

1. Nathan Lovett Murray

But more importantly a team effort. Everybody did their job.

3 mcveigh
2 lloyd
1 watson

I cannot believe how many ppl are missing watson for votes.. what does the guy have to do?? he absolutely flogged it all game.. made one or two errors that really stood out.. but the rest was outstanding.. i think he is very much like scott west.. so quick with his hands and gets to the bottom of the packs.. a gun!!

I like Watson but that kick in the first quarter made me nervious for the remainder of the day, it reminded me of last year against Geelong when he ran into open goal onto to bounce it and the ball go over his head, yes I know Watson is a gun but I fear his impersonations of Bolton :D
