i dont know all the results but i know that mackenzie was the highest in the beep test with something like 14.5 to 15 and liam bedford was the quickest in the 20 metre sprint with 2.93sec. Dean d:rolleyes: ck would have been like the best in the jumps.

So lets have it, how does he go? how tall is he about 188cm not 194cm that has been quoted? hows his pace? would you take him in the first round of this draft?

Im sick of all this Mourish crap, reminds me of Callum Burges a couple of years ago. People on here making up their opinons by reading comments by other posters on bigfooty.

Not crap. 194cm confirmed. Have seen him play at East Freo this year and at Geraldton this year as well as in EF Development Squads.

Poor results at screening will not help but will get drafted.

Who would u liken him to, if u had to make a comparrison ?

About Caleb:

194cm, lomgest arms you'll ever see and hands like shovels. Strong body based on broad shoulders and will grow into a really outstanding athlete.

Can ruck but doubtful at AFL level but takes a power mark and kicks goals.

Great footy brain and the muscles aren't for posing with - he plays physical and loves too feel skin on skin.

Can't account for his sub par Screening.

Is a tad below P Ryder and approaching the Gumby class (settle) but they have also proved it at State 18s level and WAFL league.

goes to show how much gets made up on here
Sharrod Wellingham was fastest in the 20m with 2.90

That is a massive call.
Will be very interesting to see who pulls the trigger on this kid in the ND

Have heard someone who has seen him play say he is the most naturally gifted footballer in this draft. If he has a decent work-ethic could be anything, although there are question marks over him mentally, pretty big risk of homesickness may deter clubs as well apparantly.

Interesting that Macca, although I can understand that seeing that he comes from Geraldton. Do you think West Coast would be interested in him at #16?

I haven't heard anything about whether we are interested or not, but I doubt we'll be the blub that will pick him up, especially not at 16. I think we would precieve picking someone who hasn't consistantly played at a high standard (all our selections under Woosha have been pretty safe, no percieved risks at all). I think we are definately in a position to take a gamble on Mourish at 16, but I can't see the club sharing that view. Even if we were interested prior to state screening, I really doubt we would be after his 9.7 beep test. Most of our draftees under Woosha are very good aerobically.

Fair enough Macca, but it will be very interesting to see who pulls the trigger on him come draft day. He really could go anywhere to be honest.

FWIW, at the moment, i've got the Eagles taking Broc O'Brien at 16. Thoughts?

yeh he'd be on our radar for sure. Although if McKenzie is available at 16 also, I think we'd go with him over O'Brien.

On Mourish I think he'll wind up at Essendon. Although at what pick, I'm really not sure. Sheedy has 7 selections inside the top 50 or something like that, taking a risk with one of those would be a real possibility. He's also exactly the sort of player Sheedy loves. Sheedy's also not opposed to picking players against the trend. He's also good mates with Paddy Ryder. So yeh I think he'll end up at Essendon with one of their picks between 18-47.

^^^ FWIW, I think McKenzie will be gone by #16. Think he might find his way to the Bulldogs.

Cood call on Essendon drafting Mourish, although if he was drafted to a Melbourne club, i'm sure he and Ryder would share a house anyway. To be honest, if he was still available at #35, I would hope Carlton would have a look at him.

Any chance he and Kennedy are mates?

Getting a crap beep isn't the end of the world though. A lot of footballers can run all day, even if they have a crap beep test... This is due to the fact they are hungry for the ball and have a massive heart. Some people just give up, while others keep on running even if they are stuffed. Of course the better you get in the beep the more potential you have of running at a faster pace and running around longer.

how will he grow into an outstanding athlete hes running a 9 beep test and will put on more weight at a club (if he goes)

Gumbelton is a far better prospect than Paddy Ryder he went 7 ( i think) in a weak draft and gumbeltons a chance for number 1 and wont slip out of top 3, and then comparing this country boy who has done nothing to prove he can play against good players is just simply ridicolous.
