Current WAR CRIMES Israel Hamas Conflict Pt 2 - * ICC issues warrants for Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu & Yoav Gallant & for Hamas's Mohammed Deif

Remove this Banner Ad

Here is PART 1

The ICC has also issued warrants for Netanyahu, Gallant and for Hamas leader Mohammed Deif, who Israel says they have killed.

According to the ICC, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that Deif was “responsible for the crimes against humanity of murder; extermination; torture; and rape and other form of sexual violence; as well as the war crimes of murder, cruel treatment, torture; taking hostages; outrages upon personal dignity; and rape and other form of sexual violence”.

It also said there were reasonable grounds to believe the crimes against humanity were “part of a widespread and systematic attack directed by Hamas and other armed groups against the civilian population of Israel”.

For Netanyahu and Gallant, who was replaced as defence minister earlier this month, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that they “each bear criminal responsibility for the following crimes as co-perpetrators for committing the acts jointly with others: the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts”.

It also found reasonable grounds to believe that “each bear criminal responsibility as civilian superiors for the war crime of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population”.

They ensured aid got in? Have you been in a cave for 18 months? Are you one of those arguing they shouldn't allow any aid into Gaza at all?

If they were ensuring aid got in, why on the 16th Jan were only 6 aid trucks allowed into Gaza?

Then on the 20th, second day of the ceasefire, 915 aid trucks were allowed in.

51 trucks a day Jan 1-5, yet now they can magically let 600+ per day. Israel were using aid as a bargaining tool, starvation as a weapon of war.

When you're in a war situation with both parties fighting each other and with one of them holding hostages (which is a bargaining tool and a war crime), the ease of movement of vehicles is naturally going to slow to a crawl, as you can't just allow your enemy to be re-upping their supplies with weapons.

And we know full well that Hamas only care about the genocide of Israelis to the detriment of Gazans.

What was their goal establishing 52 illegal outposts in 2024 throughout the West Bank?

What was Israel's goal with the illegal occupation of Gaza and the West Bank, 20 years before Hamas existed? Their goal maintaining that illegal occupation against all international law, and countless UN resolutions?

What was their goal when they launched an ethnic cleansing terror campaign in 1947?

Of course their underlying goal is a land grab. The military conquest of all of Palestine has always been Zionists' goal. Egypt and Jordan know those people won't be allowed back, just as the original refugees fleeing Palestine in 1948 have never been allowed back.

I would suggest the biggest failing was the UN's guilt and the resulting British mandate. If we could have our time again we probably wouldn't have created Israel.

The ethnic cleansing and terror in 1947 is hard to fathom given what they had just been through themselves. It is hardly a good way to introduce oneself to the region as a good neighbour and no different to the horrors inflicted recently by Hamas.

Taking "control" of the West Bank, Golan Heights and Gaza post the 6 day war is not an unreasonable act given they were attacked by 7 nations. The land should have been transferred back though after time, once the military objective had been achieved.

If we were to take a step back there are over 1M Palestinians living in Israel with the same rights enjoyed by Jews. Living happily and respecting each other. This is often forgotten, unknown or conveniently left out of discussions.

For me, we should be talking about and celebrating peace and living in harmony rather than taking sides and promoting division and hatred. It is a little embarrassing seeing the promotion of division here in Australia.

At the same time we should also call out those the individuals and organisations on the fringes creating the division (and they exist on both sides).

We should also be calling out the nations supplying weapons to the middle east with the specific goal of destabilising the area. There is a lot of guilty parties here as Turkey to Egypt to Chechnya to Pakistan is a tinder box, fueled by the push and pull of russia, france, china, britain, the US and others.

You're only deluding yourself.

I'm deluding myself into thinking 'Warfare is shit'? I'd have thought it was very clear minded myself!

Reminder: the ICC arrest warrants against Israeli leadership include the war of crime of using starvation as a method of warfare.

The ICC presumes that all defendants are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

With respect to the warrants, the Israel's have significant grounds to argue against their accusations. Deif on the other hand would be pushing shit uphill...

It's also a fib, there are many Israeli laws that do not apply equally to non-Jews. There's also millions of Palestinians sharing the occupied territories with Jews, who are treated as permanent prisoners of war, under military courts and with no self-determination, no say whatsoever in the government which rules them with its boot on their necks.

Just keep quiet and let genocide happen quietly? Yeah no thanks.

Think we'll find out soon that the ones sowing division are doing so for a reason.

So....everyone but little old Israel, who are just hapless victims.

Preventing aid from reaching a starving civilian populace who exist in a ghetto of your creation is not warfare, it's war crime.

Why don't they cooperate then? Why declare the ICC antisemitic for daring to look into their actions?

No surprise if at least one, maybe two of those attacks are traced back to Hezbollah/Iran. The links appear to be there.

Why do you think Hezbollah or Iran would pay someone to graffiti antisemitic nonsense on a building in Australia?

Why don't you try not being so combative and seemingly resentful?

That's not how the six day war started, and is a poor framing of events to justify a 58-year illegal occupation.

your reference to the six day war highlights my comment on the push and pull. In this case one participant was the soviet union. This also responds to your last line, that israel and others are impacted by those promoting division.

Personally I would look to solutions where division by race and religion were not central to the discussion. Do you really feel a solution based on division will ever work?

Who is dividing by religion or race? What solution am I proposing?

What is your solution?

If they believed that they could always front up to the ICC and defend themselves. But they won’t.

Agreed with that. Only Israel allowed aid in.

Why don't they cooperate then? Why declare the ICC antisemitic for daring to look into their actions?

Probably because they had a war to run, disagreed with the warrants and were demonstrably allowing aid in.

Compare this with actual genocide and starvation examples like Darfur, Cambodia and Nazi Concentration Camps.

Hamas Crackdown: Terror Organization Executes 11 Gazans for Alleged Collaboration with Israel

Hamas has carried out a brutal execution of 11 individuals in Rafah, Gaza, accusing them of collaborating with Israel. The executions, which occurred on Thursday, were part of a wider crackdown by Hamas, which has announced the formation of a "special security unit" dedicated to investigating and executing anyone suspected of working with Israel.

And not a word from those who allegedly stand with the people of Gaza.
