Maybe whilst he was still alive. the women would be accused of leading him on and giving consent to the sexual assault despite the inequity in the social position and power. The establishment would close doors and accuse the women/girls of complaining and making false accusations for financial gain

Exactly the same in a City and building in Australia,where the establishment "journalists" could invest hundreds of colums inches attacking the victims and besmirching their reputation

No, I meant it is probably easier to sue the estate of a deceased person than it is to sue the person when he is alive. The distribution of the estate is delayed if there are potential claims to be made. It might make the executors keen to settle rather than have it drag on for years.
