Current WAR CRIMES Israel Hamas Conflict Pt 2 - * ICC issues warrants for Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu & Yoav Gallant & for Hamas's Mohammed Deif

Here is PART 1

The ICC has also issued warrants for Netanyahu, Gallant and for Hamas leader Mohammed Deif, who Israel says they have killed.

According to the ICC, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that Deif was “responsible for the crimes against humanity of murder; extermination; torture; and rape and other form of sexual violence; as well as the war crimes of murder, cruel treatment, torture; taking hostages; outrages upon personal dignity; and rape and other form of sexual violence”.

It also said there were reasonable grounds to believe the crimes against humanity were “part of a widespread and systematic attack directed by Hamas and other armed groups against the civilian population of Israel”.

For Netanyahu and Gallant, who was replaced as defence minister earlier this month, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that they “each bear criminal responsibility for the following crimes as co-perpetrators for committing the acts jointly with others: the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts”.

It also found reasonable grounds to believe that “each bear criminal responsibility as civilian superiors for the war crime of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population”.

Number goes up

I think the context was home re/building. It's estimated up to 70% of Gaza's buildings are either really damaged or destroyed.

That works out to 1.4 to 1.5m people needing safe housing.

Unsure why she felt the need to tag Hamas officials, not a great look for her innocence.

She was telling Hamas who they were and what they were guilty of. Peace activists.

But this is where people can get a bit confused.

Is Hind a Gazan civillian, a journalist or a Hamas operative?

Possibly all 3.

Whatever the case, she helped put 3 people in serious danger. Most likely tortured and held in prison.
If she's not Hamas, she needs to live with that.

Sadly Palestinian building standards rarely meet satisfactory safety requirements.

Dust and asbestos alone can cause serious long term issues and civilian safety needs to be addressed.

Combine with that instability of being built on tunnels, undetected IED's, booby trapped houses and biological hazards its imperative that the safety of civilians is prioritised.

Plus the whole war going on....

Who is dividing by religion or race? What solution am I proposing?

What is your solution?

Sorry I read the tone of your posts as "they did this, they did that" and is division.

The majority of people of any nation just want to look after their families, get on with life and like others no matter of their religion or race.

The noise from the media and those with guns obviously takes the majority of the attention. The cost though is taking sides of the fringes and basing solutions and opinions based on the extremes.

We only have to look at Japan, Germany, Britain and other nations post WW2 to appreciate that things heal very quickly if with focus on the normal majority.

I assume they won't be assisting the ICC with their arrest warrant.

On Monday, while onboard Air Force One, Trump said Netanyahu would be travelling to Washington to meet him "very soon", without giving a specific date.

I'm not sure what short range rockets Trump expects to be defending against. I know cartels in Mexico have money but I seriously doubt they'll be firing off rockets at US territory.........

Seems a bit over the top.

Germany and Japan sensibly realised the futility of any ambitions to dominate their regions or perpetuate enmity against other countries and decided to rebuild their nations in the best interests of their people. They also received a lot of assistance from other countries. They are now prosperous, peaceful and respected.

Palestinians on the other hand have never had any other aim but to annihilate Israel. No matter how many times they have been repelled they keep trying again and again. The people have been brainwashed into believing there’s no alternative so they keep following warmongering leaders. That’s where billions upon billions of aid has gone, not on constructing a viable, cohesive society, but on weapons and tunnels in preparation for the next lot of fire and brimstone they bring upon themselves.

Watch, they will do it again. In fact, they’ve promised to.

Very true. How do you look after your family when you are a permanent stateless refugee?

How do you get on with life, when your car or home is set on fire or stolen by someone who faces no repercussions, and against whom you can't defend against without being detained? When your livelihood is taken from you?

The noise from the media and those with guns obviously takes the majority of the attention. The cost though is taking sides of the fringes and basing solutions and opinions based on the extremes.

There shouldn't be any 'sides' here. We have a state that is slowly erasing a people from their land.

Your solution seems to be for that people to shrug their shoulders and let it happen.

We only have to look at Japan, Germany, Britain and other nations post WW2 to appreciate that things heal very quickly if with focus on the normal majority.

Where Japanese people being ethnically cleansed from Japan? British? German? I don't understand your attempted analogy.

The dumbest take.

Some clear falsehoods here. For starters, Palestine statehood wasn't declared until Nov 15 1948. Palestine didn't exist before then.

Also, Mandatory Palestine, governed by Great Britain, included Trans Jordan which gained independence in 1946 from mandatory Palestine Again, not demonstrated on your map for obvious reasons.

Lastly, all residents of Israel were entitled to keep land if they stayed whether they were Arab or Jewish. Many were actually told to leave by Arab league members who chose to declare war on Israel instead of accepting peace.

So you are saying that the zionists were lying in 1897?

It goes without saying the region of Palestine is completely different to the state of Palestine which didn't exist until 1988.

Otherwise you must believe that Jordan and parts of Syria are actually Palestinian territory.

So we have established that Palestine existed before 1948.

Why would you lie about that Zidane?

When did Israel start existing?
