Current WAR CRIMES Israel Hamas Conflict Pt 2 - * ICC issues warrants for Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu & Yoav Gallant & for Hamas's Mohammed Deif

Here is PART 1

The ICC has also issued warrants for Netanyahu, Gallant and for Hamas leader Mohammed Deif, who Israel says they have killed.

According to the ICC, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that Deif was “responsible for the crimes against humanity of murder; extermination; torture; and rape and other form of sexual violence; as well as the war crimes of murder, cruel treatment, torture; taking hostages; outrages upon personal dignity; and rape and other form of sexual violence”.

It also said there were reasonable grounds to believe the crimes against humanity were “part of a widespread and systematic attack directed by Hamas and other armed groups against the civilian population of Israel”.

For Netanyahu and Gallant, who was replaced as defence minister earlier this month, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that they “each bear criminal responsibility for the following crimes as co-perpetrators for committing the acts jointly with others: the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts”.

It also found reasonable grounds to believe that “each bear criminal responsibility as civilian superiors for the war crime of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population”.

It's especially true in some of the recent conflicts in the middle east where a semi-common tactic is to dress as civilians with hidden IEDs to approach troops to try and kill them. This raises the threat level of these kinds of interactions a lot.
Yep, sadly this one was on the man who got shot. He's in a very very tense zone with a bunch of soliders on edge. To not listen or acknowledge them and to keep walking towards them, the soldiers sadly had no choice.

On the Bibas family, AI says:

The status of the Bibas family, who were taken hostage by Hamas, remains uncertain. Hamas has claimed at various times that Shiri Bibas and her children, Ariel and Kfir, were killed, specifically citing an Israeli airstrike as the cause. However, these claims have not been independently verified and have been met with skepticism by Israeli officials and the Bibas family themselves.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and official statements from Israel have indicated that they are assessing the accuracy of Hamas's announcements but have not confirmed the deaths. The IDF has also shown footage of Shiri and her children alive several days after the abduction, suggesting that at least at that point, they were still alive. Family members and supporters have urged caution against spreading unverified rumors, emphasizing the need for concrete evidence regarding their fate.

Given the conflicting information and the strategic use of psychological warfare by Hamas, as noted by some sources, it's critical to approach these claims with skepticism until there is definitive confirmation. The Bibas family and many in Israel are still holding onto hope for their safe return, although the situation remains deeply distressing and unresolved.

Therefore, as of the latest information available, it cannot be conclusively stated whether the Bibas family is dead or alive.

I think they are dead, and Hamas are reluctant to admit it because even the international community will be revolted. They have been crowing and parading the hostages in ghastly uniforms and forcing them to smile and wave as if everything is hunky dory. How is any civilised person supporting these barbarians?

Hamas said they were dead many months ago. IDF dropped a bomb on them.

How many times do you need to be told this?

“The list goes on, more than 350 people, including agents, merchants and thieves who stole humanitarian aid and participated in the occupation war on their people, thinking that the occupation would remain a support for them. No way. The beginning is Rafa, then Khan Younis, then the central, then Gaza, then the north. The rest of the governorates, one after the other, will be dealt with by a special unit affiliated with the security services in Gaza. They will strike with an iron fist, and there will be no repentance for anyone except the punishment of bullets.”

Just further to what has already been posted about Hamas‘s vengeance on those who don’t support them 100%..

They might be labelled Hamas sympathizers by some over social media but which won't be enough to have someone legally deported by the US government.

This is reportedly an organisation in discussions with the Trump admin openly reporting anyone who attends a memorial for Hind Rajab for potential deportation.

That's quite disturbing, they don't appear on the face though to be a legitimate organisation.

Meanwhile, protestors on this anniversary put cement down the toilets across floors in the International Affairs building at Columbia and vandalised another with graffiti naming staff.

Better to target these idiots rather than those holding a peaceful vigil for a little girl.

Targeting civilians was the war crime , nothing justifies this but yes they have a right to resist occupation.
No, not just targetting civilians was a war crime, they committed a number of war crimes other than that. October 7th was a mass atrocity on many levels.

As far as rights to armed resistance, they arguably have a right to legal armed resistance, not terrorism. Unfortunately just about everything Hamas does violates international law. Appealing to international law to defend Hamas is so ignorant of international law that it's not even wrong. A mass atrocity is not a form of legal resistance.

Arbel Yehoud's release was delayed a few times, nobody appears to know why but she's out now.

Assuming this is the same hostage as last weekend, the commentary I read (guessing it was in a live feed some Times of Israel or AJ) was that she was being held by PIJ not Hamas, and therefore it was taking longer for Hamas to coordinate with PIJ to get her transported to where she needed to be to get released. We've seen even within Hamas held hostages there's quite a delay in communication and movements.

Targeting civilians was the war crime , nothing justifies this but yes they have a right to resist an illegal occupation under international law just as Israel has a right to defend themselves lawfully.

The ICC has also issued a warrant for Hamas leader Mohammed Deif for:

The crimes against humanity of murder; extermination; torture; and rape and other form of sexual violence; as well as the war crimes of murder, cruel treatment, torture; taking hostages; outrages upon personal dignity; and rape and other form of sexual violence.

What's the reason militants never show their face in public? Afraid they won't be able to pretend their civilians in a future conflict?

There's no good reason for all of these Hamas/PIJ militants to be out and about in public covering their faces. There's a ceasefire on right now.

To counter facial recognition and intelligence.

Yep there's no doubt both sides have committed war crimes.

You think this will be the last time Israel bombs the **** out of Gaza? They'll be back in a few weeks

The ceasefire is for a 6 week total, there's no need to be hiding faces of operatives in public of territory they control.

Israel agreed a truce in Aug 2022 with Hamas and that was broken by Hamas on Oct 7 2023.

The question is if these PIJ / Hamas guys believe in what they do they really don't need to be hiding their faces.

Nobody is defending Hamas actions on October 7. They put the Palestinians back decades even if it's shown Israel to be a genocidal pariah state they're not closer to their goal of independence my point is armed resistance is lawful as per international law when you're occupied - killing of civilians , claims of sexual violence and targeting civilians infrastructure is not. Appealing to israels claims of " defending themselves" as they commit genocide is also wrong.

Because Israel plans to continue completing their genocide and ethnic cleansing in 6 weeks. Listen to isreali politicians and their media. I'd hide my face to?
IDF are also hiding their faces on the West Bank as they continue to slaughter Palestinians and bulldoze homes. Gaza might be having some short term relief but there's no ceasefire?

The real issue at play is Hamas are not interested in peace. They've made themselves billionaires gouging the Gazan economy, all wasted on military expenditure instead of looking after the people of Gaza. War ensures they'll continue to rape & pillage Gaza for their own personal benefit. They're an instrument for Iran who openly declare their intent to annihilate the state of Israel. This is why Iran has never attempted any peaceful resolution to the conflict, never provides any aid to innocent civilians in Gaza.

The people of Gaza (and all of Palestine) need a united Palestinian government in charge ASAP that has backing from Arab allies and is on terms with Israel.

Netanyahu and his isreali government are also not interested in peace ..
Hamas is a result of occupation and what you get when you shove refugees from the first Nakba and their descendants together in an open air concentration camp
Netanyahu/isreali Gov funded Hamas for 15 years to sabotage any chances of a two state solution.
