Current WAR CRIMES Israel Hamas Conflict Pt 2 - * ICC issues warrants for Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu & Yoav Gallant & for Hamas's Mohammed Deif

Here is PART 1

The ICC has also issued warrants for Netanyahu, Gallant and for Hamas leader Mohammed Deif, who Israel says they have killed.

According to the ICC, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that Deif was “responsible for the crimes against humanity of murder; extermination; torture; and rape and other form of sexual violence; as well as the war crimes of murder, cruel treatment, torture; taking hostages; outrages upon personal dignity; and rape and other form of sexual violence”.

It also said there were reasonable grounds to believe the crimes against humanity were “part of a widespread and systematic attack directed by Hamas and other armed groups against the civilian population of Israel”.

For Netanyahu and Gallant, who was replaced as defence minister earlier this month, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that they “each bear criminal responsibility for the following crimes as co-perpetrators for committing the acts jointly with others: the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts”.

It also found reasonable grounds to believe that “each bear criminal responsibility as civilian superiors for the war crime of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population”.

Teaching the world that the negotiation tactic of indiscriminately killing children works.

Very sad but I can't blame Palestinians for wanting it to stop.

I think indiscriminately killing children or the threat to, has always worked as a tactic.

Bad actors can get anybody to do almost anything to spare the children.

Israel:
Cuts off food to Gaza
Cuts off power to Gaza
Drops bombs on Gaza killing > 100 children.

Dogs_R_Us:
Because Hamas did this.
Therefore Hamas is wholly responsible for what ensued. In fact, that's what they WANTED to happen. It's been well documented.

Israel has gone to great lengths with warnings and specific targeting of leaders NOT to kill citizens. Hamas's tactic of hiding amongst them and not fighting as a uniformed army (the uniforms came out during the hostage handover farces) has caused more deaths than necessary. If Israel were really attacking indiscriminately there would be a lot more casualties.

The defence of 'if Israel really didn't care about civilians, more would die' is such a bizarre defence of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

leading up to Tuesday’s attacks, Israel had repeatedly violated terms of the ceasefire deal it agreed to in January. With support from the Trump administration, Israel refused to withdraw its soldiers from Gaza, as was required in the agreement. It continued its military operations and bombings, and it blocked humanitarian aid and electricity from entering the territory where more than 2 million Palestinians live, which amounts to violations of international humanitarian law.

The first phase of the ceasefire, which took effect on January 19, included an exchange of Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners. But in that span, Israel continued military operations in Gaza, killing more than 150 Palestinians, including in a bombing that took the lives of journalists and aid workers. And at the start of the second phase on March 2, Israel continued to violate the agreement, refusing to withdraw its soldiers from the Philadelphi Corridor, a crucial crossing point between Gaza and Egypt. Instead, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu went back on the deal and presented Hamas with an alternate plan: the continued military occupation of the territory, the continued release of hostages, and setting aside talks toward a permanent ceasefire.

“This is a constant pattern in the U.S. media where it’s almost as a matter of sacred belief that the Israelis can never be responsible for a breakdown of peace or negotiations,”

People speaking for the Israeli government say they don't even know how many civilians they have killed.

Their drone attacks on Hamas officers have been aimed at their houses for when they return home, killing their families and many other people in their buildings.

Hamas's tactic of hiding amongst them and not fighting as a uniformed army (the uniforms came out during the hostage handover farces) has caused more deaths than necessary.
I don't know much about the hostage handovers. Haven't kept up.

If Israel were really attacking indiscriminately there would be a lot more casualties.
That is not a logical argument.

Israel have said they do not know how many civilians have died.

Eventually I think Netanyahu will need to defend himself against the charges the ICC has raised, someone will grab him.

I'd love to see Netanyahu, Gollant, and whatever Hamas leadership can be found actually front the ICC and be held to account for what they've done.

Someone has taken Gallant's place, I haven't looked who it is. The ICC's probably looking at updating the charges.

Netanyahu's going to need to face the people as well, he won't be Prime Minister forever. Not only was there such a catastrophic fail in security on October 7, their bombs are also killing the hostages.

Therefore Hamas is wholly responsible for what ensued. In fact, that's what they WANTED to happen. It's been well documented.
No. For the umpteeth time. Israel is responsible for Israel's actions.

Bibi's got big problems within.

Namely, the reappointment of Ben Gvir who's now in charge of the police, his corruption trial, sacking the head of their spy agency to put his mate in the job, sacking the Attorney General, large scale protests, reservists refusing to return to duty and it goes on.

Constitutional law professor Suzie Navot, from the Israel Democracy Institute, wrote: "The red flags could not be bigger — those keen on protecting the security and democracy of the state of Israel should heed the warning."

Former chief justice, the highly respected Aharon Barak, told Israel's channel 12 this week:
"Israel is very close to civil war."

Hsmss should have tried to take out Bibi. That would be understandable.

There's a reason their only allies are Qatar, Iran, Houthis & Hezbollah. It's a real concern they are refusing to turn Gaza over to PA and disarm.

His house was hit once. But that might have been one of the other enemies.

What difference would it have made to exterminating Israel? None.
