Current WAR CRIMES Israel - Hamas - Hezbollah - Houthis

No bombs = No deaths either. But you seem reticent to agree with the idea that Israel dropping bombs is by a significant margin the biggest and most pressing threat to Palestinian lives.

I can imagine it now:

Zidane comes across someone drowning because a walkway has collapsed. He could swim out and help them. But first he goes to the local council to lobby them to rebuild the walkway safely.

With no war there are no deaths from military action. It's a stunningly simple equation you somehow fail to grasp with alarming consistency.

How many deaths were attributed to military action in Gaza between August 7th 2022 (the last truce agreed between Hamas & Israel after a military escalation) and Oct 7 2023?

We return to this very reductive and specific version of events I see.

Fact: The bombs being dropped by Israel can be stopped at any time by Israel. They've repeatedly chosen not to stop that.

Protesting Iran, Protesting Hamas, Protesting Hezbollah, Protesting Houthis. None of these parties are actively bombing Gaza. Israel is.

You want to help Palestinian civilians? Start with stopping the most pressing and immediate threat to lives, bombs being dropped on them and go from there.

Fact. The bombs being dropped are military action against Hamas. These are a direct result of the war Hamas declared on Isarel on October 7. I notice you couldn't answer the question to how many deaths in Gaza were attributed to military action between Aug 7 2022 and Oct 7 2023.

Hamas have repeatedly ignored every opportunity to return hostages to end the war. It was discovered infact that Sinwar had no intentions of a ceasefire at all. This started with Hamas and will end with Hamas once they put their weapons down, return hostages and turn over Gaza to someone who actually has the interests of Palestinian citizens first & foremost as their number one priority.

The best way to help Palestinian civilians is Hamas returning the hostages. Removing them from power completely in Gaza, ensuring a united Palestine who are willing to negotiate peace with Israel as opposed to Hamas who just want to annihilate Jews and/or destroy the state of Israel.

As long as this threat remains there will always be war. Hamas is responsible for this as is Iran. Arab league allies also will not step in until this war is over.

Netanyahu rejected his own ceasefire deals. You know this. Why do you keep pretending otherwise?

Yep, it's another tired trope in this discussion - ie that Israel isn't responsible for its own behaviour post the October 7th terrorist attacks.

Again, the 'October 7 terrorist attacks' is a live event while Hamas and their enablers are haboring hostages.

Of course Israel are responsible for their military actions; just as Hamas is responsible for their non-action in not releasing hostages and their actions in launching rockets into Israel.

Apartheid and illegal occupation are also live events. Not to mention the thousands of Palestinian hostages that Israel held on October 6. That number has grown significantly since then.

How come the deaths have to be from military action? Do IDF shootings not count as military action unless Hamas kills someone beforehand do normal IDF killings not count for to you in this selective quota?

It's a stunningly simple question you ask to get the stunningly simple answer you need to keep turning a blind eye to the ongoing slaughter of civilians in Gaza and The West Bank?

It really is sad that so many in this thread just ignore all these murders before Oct07. Maybe it's because it happened so often they think it doesn't matter or maybe they just don't care.

Guarantee they don't even consider it.

As they often tell us - that's just the status quo. That doesn't count as conflict - that's their lot in life.

Palestinians being murdered is just normal day to day.

You can claim that all you want, but it's clear to a growing number of people around the world that Israel's actions are a war on the Palestinian people. Disgusting levels of collective punishment, war crimes and now complete ethnic cleansing.

Hamas have repeatedly ignored every opportunity to return hostages to end the war. It was discovered infact that Sinwar had no intentions of a ceasefire at all.

Huge shame that Israel bombed the one guy that convinced Sinwar to release the hostages they did release.

Like in the West Bank?

The best way to help Palestinian civilians is Hamas returning the hostages.

The majority of hostages are almost certainly dead.

Removing them from power completely in Gaza, ensuring a united Palestine who are willing to negotiate peace with Israel as opposed to Hamas who just want to annihilate Jews and/or destroy the state of Israel.

Self-serving nonsense. Hamas have said they would surrender their weapons if Israel recognised a Palestinian state on 1967 borders. Israel have now made that a legal impossibility. Israel are not some passive agent in this 80 year conflict, forced to murder Palestinian children by Hamas. It's pathetic.

Apartheid and illegal occupation are strong words, but nobody is suggesting that Israel's guilt free of everything, nor that this all happened in a vacuum.

That said, if you write a ledger, putting all of the Jews' grievances on one side and the Arabs' on the other and only raffle those grievances off, then each side looks like the most persecuted race in history.

Each other's negative reactions to negative actions are an infinitely long thread.

But it's all bullshit that won't be resolved by both parties not smoking the peace pipe with earnesty.

And what sure as **** won't help is one side goading the other into warfare by murdering, raping and stealing civilians in a year long war crime!
