Have "Private Militias" or companies that control them, ever been charged or convicted for war crimes anywhere around the world?
Yes.
Or are Corporate entities exempt from the various International War Crimes laws?
No.

Edit: This is more complex and probably deserves a better answer to cover the bases.

Yes people working within these companies can be charged with war crimes and it has happened. The ICC itself cannot charge companies with war crimes though, but there are other avenues for corporate liability for war crimes than the ICC. It does make it more difficult to pursue corporations though, but the individuals responsible for the war crimes can just as easily be charged by the ICC as anyone else.

Also, it's my understanding that the ICJ can prosecute countries who have effective control over the PMCs for war crimes. A country cannot just hire military contractors and have them carry out war crimes as a way of bypassing international law. Although this hasn't happened yet as far as I am aware, but Russia could legally, and hopefully will be, held responsible for the actions of Wagner.

There are many roles in a prison.

Ok screw.
Not a lot but there are tasks officers should be doing if they are performing adequately. Walking around the prison maintaining the security and integrity of the facility and the safety and compliance of the prisoners. Monitoring the cameras. Incident reports. Intelligence reports.

Night shift, yes, but during the day there's actually quite a bit that an officer should be doing (e.g. patting down prisoners) depending on the post. Problem is it attracts the laziest people, the kind of people who become mall and bank security guards because they see it as "getting paid to do nothing". There were some good officers at my facility and they didn't do nothing, they were reasonably busy. They didn't spend entire shifts in the control rooms, they walked around, chatted to staff, chatted to prisoners, monitored the activities within their area. Then reports, if necessary. And in the control rooms, they actually watched the CCTV. Not saying they never went online, everybody did, it is a boring job. But the good officers were online in breaks between tasks, most officers were online, seemingly ignored the CCTV for the most part, did as little as possible, and left their desk as infrequently as possible. The union is very active!
