I'm not totally across the mechanics of it, but I believe its the ban on Israeli contact with UNRWA staff that would significantly worsen the humanitarian crisis Israel is currently in charge of.
Might be time for everyone to donate to organisations like UNICEF, Save the Children, red cross, if they can afford to and haven't been doing so already.

Hopefully the war will be over in the next three months.

The woman making the allegations is a lawyer, she'd be well aware of the trouble she's going to be in if it's proved she was making things up.

If the allegations are proved a complete fabrication at this level, she risks her job, bankruptcy and potentially her career.

If the allegations were false and of a more serious nature that resulted in charges, she'd be risking a prison term.

Still, I can't speak to the absolute truth of what went on there. Wait, see I guess.

Do you have a link where there's a request for an investigation, or complaint filed based on the allegations? I thought this was already a settled matter - it's only the leaking of the process that's caused the recent reports.

No, I don't. The only investigation I'm aware of is the one Khan asked for but assume that will take in the allegations. Where it goes from there is anybody's guess but the woman involved will be under pressure to make a formal statement or withdraw/deny she made any accusations at all.

"People close to the woman, who still works at the court, told AP that she opted against a complaint at the time because she didn’t trust the internal watchdog and has since asked the body of member-states that oversees the ICC to launch an external probe."

All we have are sources close to the woman reporting to the AP. I think there is nothing to add to this story at the moment and everyone should move on unless they want to discuss how this might impact/delay the ICC findings. Speculating on a woman lying about being allegedly sexually assaulted just because a person hates Israel seems in extremely bad taste. Completely on par for some around here though.

Is there a reason UNRWA couldn't continue their work in Gaza if they are banned from operating within Israel's sovereign territory? I imagine it makes the process of coordination and vehicle inspections a lot harder, but nothing in Israel's ban would stop them from continuing their services afaik.

Efficiency and the welfare of Gazan's for one. EDIT; Thats assuming that UNRWA and the UN actually give two shits about the Gazan population.

I think Lazzarini openly mourning the death of terrorists has crossed the line of what Israel was going to cop.

Surely the UN can restructure and ensure the delivery/provision of services/aid without contributing to terrorism.

At the same time, shouldn’t the Israeli government restructure to exclude terrorists like Ben Gvir?

Yes.

In both instances would be a win win for Israeli's and Palestinians.

Would bring peace, tolerance and cohesion closer as well.

Remember when everyone pretended to cry about Israel damaging two UNIFIL cameras and a tower and GP was suggesting the UN should go to war against Israel over it? (lol). Why didn't we hear anything from the same people about this rocket attack apparently from Hezbollah that injured 8 Austrian UNIFIL soldiers?

The UNIFIL soldier stans went really really quiet for some reason. It's almost like they don't care about UNIFIL soldiers unless they can use them as an excuse to rage at Israel.

That's horrible. Was IDF using them as human shields again?

I'll just respond to your posts with your own words or words of your friends.:
Or we hold sovereign States to a higher standard than proscribed terrorists.

Was one accidental hit on UNIFIL in an attempt to repel an invading force vs a deliberate attack on UNIFIL by an invading force?

Aren't you doing exactly what you're accusing them of?

Did you mention the multiple direct assaults on UNIFIL by Israel at all?

But now there's some rockets it's suddenly a tool to be used in your staunch defence of everything Israel?

For ****'s sake. You're describing a Sovereign State targeting UN personnel. You're sick, you need help
The allegation in the incident we are talking about is that Israel appeared to have deliberately fired at a UNIFIL position, UNIFIL were not alleging they were targeting their personnel on this occasion.
