Current WAR CRIMES Israel - * ICC issues warrants for Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu & Yoav Gallant & for Hamas's Mohammed Deif

The ICC has also issued a warrant for Hamas leader Mohammed Deif, who Israel says they have killed.

According to the ICC, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that Deif was “responsible for the crimes against humanity of murder; extermination; torture; and rape and other form of sexual violence; as well as the war crimes of murder, cruel treatment, torture; taking hostages; outrages upon personal dignity; and rape and other form of sexual violence”.

It also said there were reasonable grounds to believe the crimes against humanity were “part of a widespread and systematic attack directed by Hamas and other armed groups against the civilian population of Israel”.

For Netanyahu and Gallant, who was replaced as defence minister earlier this month, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that they “each bear criminal responsibility for the following crimes as co-perpetrators for committing the acts jointly with others: the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts”.

It also found reasonable grounds to believe that “each bear criminal responsibility as civilian superiors for the war crime of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population”.

Well, Gazans can go back to the tried and true peaceful protest route now and receive more of this benevolence from the IDF:

28.Those killed by Israeli soldiers, firing from behind the separation fence, included three medics and two journalists. A total of over 36,100 Palestinians, including nearly 8,800 children,108 were injured by Israel, including 4,903 people who were shot in the lower limbs, “many while standing hundreds of metres away from the snipers, unarmed”.109 156 of them had to have at least one limb amputated,110 and over 1,200 required specialised limb reconstruction treatment.111 The Commission found that the maiming was not accidental: the rules of engagement adopted by Israel permitted snipers to shoot at the legs of the “major inciters”.112 One Israeli soldier admitted that he shot “42 knees in one day”.113
Are you arguing that the Great March of Return was only a peaceful protest? Plenty to criticize about Israel's response to the March of Return, but trying to claim it was only a peaceful protest is more embarrassing than January 6 apologists saying it was only a peaceful protest and they were all let into the capital building. A lot more embarrassing.

Alice Wairimu Ndaitu, official UN advisor on the prevention of genocide until November 2024, openly declared that the current Gaza war was not genocide. There is no source you can quote that tops the UN advisor on the prevention of genocide in terms of neutrality, bias & credibility.

There are ongoing allegations she was fired in November for her stance on Gaza:

UN Special Committee disagrees.

Also, as far as I can see, there's no statement in that article where she declares it is definitely not a genocide, nor can I find one when I search. Do you have a source?

She also didn't have her term renewed, as distinct from being fired.

Virginia Gamba currently occupies the role:

You also keep trying to do this thing where you make a definitive statement, like the bolded.

The ICJ ultimately determines what is legally termed a genocide or not. So there is definitely at least one source that can top a UN advisor.

The framing of this is wild and entirely predictable.

Very weird framing.

Nobody won, everybody lost.

Innocent people were killed, the cycle of hated and violence continued, and reconstruction will take decades. PTSD will run rampant throughout Israel and Gaza, and the wider region.

Do you have a link for this please?

Appears that a ceasefire has been agreed. According to the NYT it has to be approved by the Israeli cabinet and Netanyahu’s office says some of the details are still TBC as well, so no time / date for commencement as yet.

I wonder whether we’ll see a flurry of attacks leading up to the commencement of the ceasefire like we saw in Lebanon.

You were right. Sources from Gaza reporting that civilians have been killed by Hamas, firing celebration rounds.

Plenty of videos of Hamas now openly parading the streets of Gaza. Incredible it takes a ceasefire for them to do this.

Any reason you linked a tweet from that poster, yet didn't link this other tweet from the exact same poster?

There was a tweet Kurve posted earlier related to this, it appears to be a video from a long time ago. Check with her whether it's the same.

There's others that aren't the same, there is a lot of celebrating going on but outside that suspect footage I've only seen a couple of random Hamas headbands so far. Lots of shooting in the air etc and kids with guns driving around hanging out the windows.

It's the 'openly parading in the streets' bit that sounds a lot like the video you posted earlier.

As usual, you post whataboutisms with other irrelevant posts. This is a tactic you consistently employ to seemingly avoid addressing accountability for Hamas atrocities.

Is this the link Deliverance ?

The Commission referred to is the South Africa Commission not the ICJ?

Because what I have seen, is dozens of videos of Hamas shooting citizens in the legs, often kneecaps and I've also noticed many injuries where Hamas targets the feet for torture, clean cuts to Achilles and the same across dominant forearms rendering them almost useless as a form of punishment and control.

Not that I'm suggesting Israel against protestors didn't do this, they probably did but good luck trying to work out if they were solely responsible for all the injuries or it was Hamas again exploiting the situation for propaganda purposes.

Hamas are as bad as IDF, I agree

Maybe you should just google the definition.

I know what it means. You don't seem too though.

"Genocide is the deliberate destruction of a national, racial, religious, or ethnic group."

That was never even close to happening.

Targetting Hamas strong holds is the majority of what went down.

Notice how the areas controlled by Fatah went relatively unscathed?

It was largely peaceful well away from the wall, hence the snipers and the recommendation from he UN that Israel conduct an investigation to see if crimes against humanity occured. I'm not sure if Israel held any trials.

I agree it was largely peaceful in that the majority of people who attended were peaceful, and it's original intention was peaceful. Hamas and other militants did co-opt it. I won't defend all of Israel's actions, but I don't like this idea that peaceful protest can't work because look at the March of Return. The violence wasn't as a result of peaceful people sitting around in a field peacefully protesting.

There were instances of gunmen approaching the fence and shooting at Israeli positions, molotov cocktails and other explosives were used against the border, in other cases Hamas forces were killed trying to breach the barrier, flammable kites flew over the border and set fire to fields in Israel. I think 100 militants or so were killed in total from memory, those are people claimed by Hamas or PIJ.

I think peaceful protests and movements can work, but it's going to take a long time before we see true peace and reconciliation I think.

Hamas demands Israel releases convicted murderers
Hamas releases bodies of innocent civilians they kidnapped and tortured and murdered in exchange

Sums up Hamas.
Is Hamas required to stop firing rockets from refugee camps and hospitals into Israel?

I wouldn't call any of this a win for Israel, Gaza or humanity, which is greater than the sum of them all and which has been cynically and cruelly exploited for fifteen months.

It's sick.
Negotiating with terrorists gives them licence to do it again and again. Because it worked!
