It seems like all the stars are aligning up for the Renegades this season.

  • Brisbane who were expected to smash the Stars tonight, will feel like its a point loss here. They are looking on shaky ground right now to be getting a Top 2 spot.
  • Renegades likely to play tomorrow and probably the in-form team of the comp right now, with no exodus of international players that hinder their chances, getting players back in time in Finals eg Molineux, Wareham firing at the right time. And the thing is their bowling attack looks evenly balanced.
  • Likely games to be washed out on Sunday which also again affects Brisbanes chances of getting at least a home Final.
  • Whoevers decision not to recruit Harmanpreet Kaur this season deserves a pat on the back too. Having her in this side was toxic for the team environment. Kaur is talented no doubt, but there is a reason why India dont win international tournaments under her captaincy.

There is nothing to suggest to me that Sutherland can whack them out of the bat . Again I stick by my statement, she looked dreadful the other night at Drummoyne. In fact if I were Brisbane, I would be even tempted to keep her there and just drop catches if it comes their way.

Not even a fixture like this will get the Stars up and about. I assure you of that. They checked out midweek and they may be tired as they had a game midweek. (Brisbane had a 5 days rest)

Brisbane can chase anything under 75 odd against this Stars team.

Bar Kapp their attack is smashable in these conditions.

The thing with JJ is she is a consideration to bowl the 2 overs, is she is generally pinpoint with her spinners. She has had a reasonably good WBBL too.

And ill say this she has overtaken Ash Gardner in this form. Maybe going head to head with Wareham for that spinner allrounder position.
