Standings after Game 23:

Mathematically Adelaide could make the Top 4 but now results have to all go their way with destiny out of their control.

And Renegades done their chances of a Top 2 spot no harm today. Although their next 3 fixtures are difficult: The Derby, Hobart with Lizelle lee and top of the table Thunder.

Sixers a bit too flunky a side for me to be to make the Finals.

Healy and Gardner have fallen off a cliff with their batting in the last 12-18 months. Perry cant save the Sixers every game. Right now I say it right now, Healy is playing on borrowed time. If she didnt have the Healy name, she probably would have got dropped by now fair to say. Could make a case there are better wicket keeper-batsman in Australia going around who deserve their time in the national team. Its their batting which is a concern. Getting Kerr and Ecclestone bowling in tandem means they will be thereabouts with their bowling. Do sense if teams see those two off, or get off to flyers.....you can score big too against the Sixers.

I expect Thunder to do the double over Perth in the next 2 fixtures. And if they do that, they will be hard to displace from Top spot. I also think the Thunder can win next weeks derby again at Drummoyne Oval.

This has to be one of the tighter WBBL seasons in memory. Teams from 3rd to 7th all within 1 game of each other, which makes me think Stars even with their NRR arent out of it.

What the hell has happened to the Strikers this season?
Their bowling has been found out. Schutt is probably the most reliable seamer. Mushganwe was dropped for some unknown reason.

Opposition teams have seem to find a way to attack Darcie Brown. Leaking alot more runs than usual.

And their set of imports in Woolvardt , Mandhana (who came late) and Prendergast as a combo have been below par compared to opposition imports.

Woolvardt has struggled to get going on good batting wickets. Mack, Patterson and Penna who are the crux of their local batting have struggled for consistency. Id say their batting relies alot on their big 3 in : McGrath, Woolvardt and Mandhana (only played 2 games so far).

Adelaide with their season almost done, will probably bring in Mushangwe for final 4 games and probably try something different and maybe put Prendergast up at 3 or 4. She did score at a strike rate of 200 tonight, and looked a better batting option than some of those names mentioned above.

I went to the SCG double header yesterday. Bit of a joke that the gates only opened up 20 minutes before the actual game time.

Should be at least 1 hour I say.

If Cricket Australia or someone working there, I suggest this recommendation be passed on.

Always been the way at the SCG for these games I don’t like it either. I wish they’d at least make it 45 mins you don’t have to open bars till 10 minutes before the game if you want.

Game 24 and I made it to Drummoyne Oval in the suburbs of Sydney for this one. Looks like they have brought in the ropes a good 30-35 metres in some sections from the fence.

My observation attending Drummoyne Oval for the first time last night. It seems like one side of the boundary is shorter than the other.

One of Devines sixes, hit the outside of the ground. Im hoping there are some cars out there with insurance because I reckon there is a good chance a ball might hit a car on the streets or in the parking lot.
