WC Missing from potential best 22 for Rd 1
Naitanui
Brown
Butler
Sheppard
Glass

Plus Kerr from best 22 for 2011

Freo Missing from potential best 22 for Rd 1

DeBoer
Grover
McPharlin
Mundy
Broughton

Plus Ibbotson and Barlow from best 22 for 2011

Have excluded Hayden and Mora - as I don't think they'll play this year

Lach might be able to correct me - but that's reasonably similar in relative strength.

Hayden will play...moon boot is off and he'd started running :)

Given those late inclusions - Freo go in stronger than us in terms of best 22 for round 1.

Should be interesting to see what performance we put up.

The final round of praccy matches are generally the most important because sides generally are getting their best team together.

There's been no mention of why Glass is out - which is a worry - he's only played 1 and a half games.

It might be a practice game but Dockers really want to win this one. They have lost everything so far and want some momentum. They also will want to maintain dominance over us. Watch them do everything they can to get up.

Thanks FS I was looking for such a summary

I like your use of the word potential

I thought Glass looked sore late in the game last week, so resting him is wise. You are not a fan of Kobe?

Can't remember where i read it. I think *************** poll but it said that due to the injuries during the match against the Pies, Glass had to play out the game with a slight knee problem. I think it was an article highlighting the failures with the 3 interchange policy.

I am a fan of Stevens - just clearly he's not best 22 - at least in the eyes of the selectors - same goes with JJOnes.

I didn't want to go down the path of saying we were missing stevens, when they were missing Clarke as an example. Then it comes down to an argument of Clarke V Griffin or Stevens V Ebert - and that's getting even more subjective.

Of young fellas missing I've only done Sheppard and DeBoer as selection in 2010 showed them to be best 22.

Yep. I can't remember which quarter or stage of the game, but I do remember seeing him run the ball over the line with his opponent, go to ground and very gingerly jog back to position discreetly feeling at his groin.

Hope it's not that, and he's just 'rested'.

Hope they use Priddis and Cox sparingly they've played a lot of gametime in the preseason so far.

Would have liked to see Weedon, JJ and Stevens in the squad but oh well. Particularly hope to see good games from Masten, Embley, Swift, Stevenson - and all the new draftees of course.

Freo have come out and said they are only playing 22 - simulating H&A conditions.

I do hope we are doing the same

It's great to be able to play some kids within a 24/26 squad - but ultimately this is the last hit out prior to the season proper - time to play it under normal conditions.

I don't see anything wrong with carrying a couple of extra players into this game purely as potential "subs". It means guys that get corkies or feel minor niggles can be taken straight off the park for the day, rather than try and run the game out and doing extra damage. We can still simulate the 22 man H&A conditions, but reduce the risk of minor ijuries becoming prolonged injuries by using the extra "subs" (if required, that is).

Would like to off seen Weedon again as I thought he showed abit last week.
Did see on the ABC news tonight that Swift hurt his knee but apparently the club says he is ok!Let's hope so.
Will be good to hear how Lycett goes.

That's certainly doable of course - in fact I think Freo did something like that last week.

They 'subbed' off 4 people at half time

Maybe 720? You would hope so seeing as it is WC vs Freo.

Ill be attending in person so will jot some notes down for those who cant attend.
