WC Missing from potential best 22 for Rd 1
Naitanui
Brown
Butler
Sheppard
Glass
Plus Kerr from best 22 for 2011
Freo Missing from potential best 22 for Rd 1
DeBoer
Grover
McPharlin
Mundy
Broughton
Plus Ibbotson and Barlow from best 22 for 2011
Have excluded Hayden and Mora - as I don't think they'll play this year
Lach might be able to correct me - but that's reasonably similar in relative strength.
I guess I meant in entireity - taking 6 or 7 underdone blokes into rd 1 could be disaster.

Given those late inclusions - Freo go in stronger than us in terms of best 22 for round 1.
Should be interesting to see what performance we put up.
The final round of praccy matches are generally the most important because sides generally are getting their best team together.
There's been no mention of why Glass is out - which is a worry - he's only played 1 and a half games.
Thanks FS I was looking for such a summary
I like your use of the word potential
I thought Glass looked sore late in the game last week, so resting him is wise. You are not a fan of Kobe?
I am a fan of Stevens - just clearly he's not best 22 - at least in the eyes of the selectors - same goes with JJOnes.

Freo have come out and said they are only playing 22 - simulating H&A conditions.
I do hope we are doing the same
It's great to be able to play some kids within a 24/26 squad - but ultimately this is the last hit out prior to the season proper - time to play it under normal conditions.
I don't see anything wrong with carrying a couple of extra players into this game purely as potential "subs". It means guys that get corkies or feel minor niggles can be taken straight off the park for the day, rather than try and run the game out and doing extra damage. We can still simulate the 22 man H&A conditions, but reduce the risk of minor ijuries becoming prolonged injuries by using the extra "subs" (if required, that is).
