So the KCC pitch helped lure Barrass and Battle

"But it won't work because Dingley is so far away"

"It will be like the Saints with Seaford"

This could have been true ten years ago before the Dingley bypass/South Road extension was put in and you needed to go down Old Dandenong Road to get there, but now it’s a straight shot down South Road from Bayside and the nearby suburbs, no more than 15 minutes away.

For players in the Bayside and surrounding suburbs, they could literally climb out of bed at 6:30, eat breakfast and still walk in the door at KCC by 7am. That same drive is 30 minutes to Waverley Park as you need to struggle down North Road from Murrumbeena to Clayton.

Preaching to the choir mate. Same point I've been trying to explain to posters since we first acquired the land.

To the tune of "Graceland".

The land down at Dingley
Is calling from afar
And I am driving in my car
Down the highway
To the place I want to be

I'm going to Dingley, Dingley
Dingley, KCC
I'm going to Dingley
Hawk boys and pilgrims with families
We are all going down to worship at Dingley KCC

My traveling companions
Are my family
And I've reason to believe
We will all be well received
Down at Dingley, Dingley KCC

Ooh, ooh, ooh
In Dingley, in Dingley
I'm going to Dingley KCC
For reasons I cannot explain
There's some part of me wants to see
Dingley
And I may be obliged to defend
The brown and gold and every ending
Or maybe there's no obligations now
Maybe I've a reason to believe
We will all be well received
In Dingley

Whoa, oh, oh
Going to Dingley, to Dingley, at Dingley KCC
I'm going to Dingley

football clubs are like a window to your soul
everybody sees it's brown and gold
everybody feels the wind blow
at Dingley...

Doubt Kingston council will acquire Dinsan nursery which is in that map. Also Hawthorn's land extends all the way to Mornington Penninsula freeway I believe at least far closer than this image. And if that land does get acquired, I think a Secondary school is more required than more ovals. Dingley already has 2x football grounds and the huge Spring Road reserve for bikes and walking.

3x primary schools but no high school. And 700+ new houses about to be added at golf course and density increases closer to shopping centre.
