7 matches is one or two too many imo. He's been "made an example of" but watch the penalty for high bumps slowly get lowered over the course of the season
Not all high bumps are the same

Massive melt!! So embarrassing can’t blv I said that
The AFL's "deliberation" process;AFL will mandate it ..... they need the drama
No current season stats available
Dunno about that.Very much doubt he’ll be straight back in the team.
Got the defence ready early, nice nice. Not all high bumps are the same
AFL seeing dollar signs for all the melee fines form that game7 is admittedly in the ballpark but it seems very convenient that they play each other again the week he comes back.
TV dollars infiltrating the tribunal again? Makes for a baity story.
Wonder if Webster will pick up a knock on Thursday of that week or come back through the VFL.

Yeah I know, and this was a pretty bad example, but 3 matches above "the norm" is an outlier
Lolsies. Can't forget the death threats sent against Webster's 16 month old kid .
7 matches...he got off easy!
A lot has happened in 15 years regards head trauma since then.He has got more matches than other players have got for similar incidents and the same number of matches as Hall got for belting Staker.
I would hardly say he has got off easy.
Its St Kilda belting North. Its not going to attract a TV audience regardless of whatever story can be manufactured.7 is admittedly in the ballpark but it seems very convenient that they play each other again the week he comes back.

The past is the past and no longer relevant in AFL football in 2024. 7 matches is a good wack, but he got off easy IMO. It could easily have been 8-10 weeks. He has got more matches than other players have got for similar incidents and the same number of matches as Hall got for belting Staker.
I would hardly say he has got off easy.
Precedent unfortunately isn’t used at tribunalPrecedent now set though this is unlikely to end well ...... Tribunal/AFL once again set themselves up for a fall
Good Morning NorthGoodnight jimmy
I reckon plenty would tune in to see how the North players treat himIts St Kilda belting North. Its not going to attract a TV audience regardless of whatever story can be manufactured.
