Well I hope the Hawthorn selection group watched the Box Hill game really closely. Angelo Lekkas after a couple of short breaks during the match ran it out strongly to be arguably Box Hills' best. Just to see his ball getting ability and composure was a pleasure, the goal he kicked near the end of the game after beating off a couple of opponents was brilliant and had the huge crowd roaring. Assuming they reckon he has the fitness, which I reckon was obvious he did. He has to come back into the team, he was already a class above after how long out of the game!
Steven Greene again had heaps of the ball and could seriously be a good player if given a chance by AC (and USED WISELY). Beaumont should retire now, unfortunately Holland is not too far behind. Matty Ball tried hard too and even though I'm not his biggest fan should get a crack at seniors soon. Lonie was ok but needs to show more desperation with his defensive side. For me Lekkas, Greene, Ball, Lonie and Nixon should all be given guernseys in the coming weeks.
Buckley was rested in the last 1/4 for Willy and will definitely be back next week for the team I hate.

yeah lekkas proved how good a player he is. will be back after geelong game i hope!
yeah time to give nixon, ball, greene and lonie a crack...give them the next 5 games to prove there worth. then in the last couple wks give some others a go or maybe some kids...murphy?

I watched him play at Box Hill, as I do at every home game. I reckon he was on of our best, Greene, Lonie, Nixon were equally as good.

Nixon had his worst game yesterday, Fishman. Spent most of it on the pine.

Lonie was poor. 20 soft possies that rarely hit targets.

I'll give you Greene though. He was good.

Spoke to someone couple of weeks ago and told me he ( Angelo Lekkas) was training really hard hoping to make a return to the seniors team sometime this season where he`l announce his retirement from the game,not before thank-ing all the fans and those thousands of poeple who sent him get well cards
