The kid is an absolute ripper .

Imagine how he would of felt playing on a Geelong idol and superstar in Dangerfield, handles it with aplomb.

Not going to lie, Serong was probably the player i least wanted us to draft as he didn't look to have any stand out attributes, bare in mind this opinion was formed from a couple of 5 minute highlight video. Couldn't be more happy with how he has presented in his first year. great aggression, skills and clean hands. Seems like a good replacement for Lachie Neale and is only going to get better with more games. The highlight for me this year is watching our young guys develop and he definitely makes it a little easier.

Majority of them are completely lost with modern Football.

You hear them all the time demanding a kick into the corridor. When their is a turnover with a kick into the corridor they say it’s a risky kick and poor football.

One team has control the ball and then have a go at the other team for lack of tackles. At the same time being critical with the possession game being too conservative.

AFL commentary has always been a club where they only let in blokes who have "earnt it" by playing 300 games or X number of premierships.

The broadcasters have essentially taken the approach from Cricket which has basically only ex players but the difference is cricket you generally need to have half a brain and need to understand the game.

AFL guys like Dermott who is a grade A arseh*le seem to be par for the course.

When BT is "ok" in that he has actually put work into his commentary and style, you know that the standard isn't high.

I lost all respect for Ling when he acted like he had been nearly decapitated by Solomon. He missed two weeks but acted like he was going out for the season.

Tbh I don’t really give too much of a damn what cricket commentators did in their career either. Thing is most of the best commentators seemed to captain their country, be close enough to doing so or coached in some capacity - you’ve got to understand the game a bit to do that.
