I’ve been banging this drum since we drafted him. I think he would still kick goals streaming into the fifty and launching his long kicks.
Freddy is already doing that and Jeremy dobbed a 50 metre goal off two steps against North.
He’s already showing 60 metre kicks are his thing.
They look to me like the ideal wingmen .

I honestly hope that Sharp lays a huge run down tackle on Acres and lets him know about it. Acres tends to go into his shell when he's copped a big tackle.

The “no name” from Freo, would complete the job properly.
Pendlebury and other stars have been doing that and the sternum punch for years. It is stupid that the AFL don't clear it up with a large fine, followed by suspensions for each following offence.

Been an astute pick up. Been watching him closely, I think the major knock was his defensive efforts but I don't see any massive area of concern there, plus it takes time to bed down in your new team and find consistency. It's surprising Gold Coast didn't rate him enough to give him some game time, but their loss is Freo's gain. Seems happy to be home and playing regular senior football....can do wonders for the confidence of a person, as we've seen with Banfield
Treacy to lay the tackle Acres left watching from the ground as Sharp picks up the loose ball and disappears into the distance.

Obviously Carlton have Acres who can run all day but if Sharp and Acres are matched up I think Sharp's better disposal will see him have far greater impact.
It isn’t just Jeremy’s endurance. We saw him sprint after the ball coming from about 10 metres behind to burn off Charlie Cameron and Clark. He has phenomenal speed. ( I think it was Jordan; not certain ).

Too late, baby Cripps was already born a couple of days agoI'm casting "labour and birth " spells onto Mrs Cripps the night before gameday.
It reminds me of the speed Hayden Ballantyne showed on debut.
At the time I thought this bloke could be the best of our draft crop. ( the pocket rocket ).

His two way running has always been fine. It’s his ability to put his head down and get the hardball. He had a couple of opportunities to go in and get the hardball (more in round 1) where he stood back. I know he is an outside player yada yada but when it is your turn you gotta go. Can also drift off and go missing at times. Again the ball may spend a quarter entirely on the opposite wing.
Basically Stewart Dew formed an opinion and he didn’t get played. Steven King came in as care-taker coach and there seemed to be an eye for the future with his selections and by that point Sharp likely had made his intentions clear. Flinders is a prime example - he got some regular footy and worked well for GC and Flinders. Regardless of Sharp getting a game he was halfway out the door. His form for GC VFL was solid.
For mine he is improving every week he gets a game. Certainly getting back being a plus one in defence and I noticed more times he put his head over the ball to dig in against Adelaide.
Freo wanted him as a replacement for Acres post 2022 but they weren’t going to pay second round pick and rightly so. The loss of Acres with no replacement hurt Freo. We also lost Tucker that same pre-season and he is in similar mould as Acres/Sharp.
Henry is a different type to Acres/Sharp. He would likely have been in the rotation between high half forward and wing. With Young moving to permanent midfield it has pushed some of the midfielders like Brayshaw and Johnson to the wing. Even Serong has had some stints on the wing.
NOD when fit and in form is handy for Wing half forward rotation.
Henry whilst a shame to lose is replaceable in that role he would have played.
We have finally got our replacement for Acres. Sadly we suffered last year with no adequate replacement.
