Richmond Senior Coach Adem Yze joins Channel 7's Talking Footy ahead of Round 8 against Fremantle.
Including some MSD pics 5+ ND plus last years , ooze will starting to put his print on the team soon enough , some continuity would be nice

I am listing to the Talking Footy interview and I have 1 burning question.
Is Joel Selwood ok? Is he a diversity hire due to brain damage?
The first question he asks was not a question, it was a statement. A statement he got lost in and then Yze helped him by giving a boiler plate answer.
Joel needs a few brain scans because he is just not right.

Yze’s coaching tenure has just started as the Walrus and the Carpenter are not in the side.
Yze will be coaching dandy thunder soon if he doesn’t get rid off macca.

One thing that I'd love him to stop doing, to really get me across the line is to stop talking in press conferences and media as though players like Graham and Prestia are walk up starts when fit.
IMO the better messaging is to say "they're always a chance to come in but we are in a transitional period at the moment so it's important to get a good look at all facets of the list and how they can fit into our future planning".

He’s going to fall on his own sword bc he has too much faith in punch struck old champs. He’s lost the whole plot of what his intentions were at the beginning of the year. His game plan with injuries resembles a 6 yo birthday party with kids playing musical chairs. He’s came up short as a coach atm and looks like he’s been kidnapped by the senior players, Rutten and Teague. I’m disappointed so far especially him playing Naismith again and constantly playing KMac , Pickett and Grimes.

Gez hold on to your knickers lol. Give him a chance. Kids are playing and like most agree some senior blokes shouldn't be there. Inherited a list badly in decline and injuries have killed him. I reckon season end big clean out of players and football staff included.

You've pretty much got to Mulligan this season for him.
No coach has had it harder injury wise.
It's his first year in the senior role.
He's inherited a shit list with holes everywhere, sorry but it's true.
He's not getting any favours with the umpiring we receive.
It takes time to build a list and gameplan to how he wants it to be in contention.
We've had so many structural pieces across our talls at both ends, and midfield missing that he's working with what's available.
We'll be a lot better for the run, the games into the kids, and a strong draft hand.
I'll be judging him this off season though, and team selection over the next 18 months. We must see a clear view of bringing in young talent and letting some of the older players go. I'm not worried about wins and losses this year.

have seen plenty to like matchday strategy wise and his philosophy isnt wrong. if you've got a manager who is just a campaigner to you all day, doesn't give a shit about you and just cracks the whip you're going to resent them and you're not going to put in your best efforts. You have someone you respect take you aside and give you a dressing down you take it on board and you go again.

They’re full of excuses on here and they eventually work it out, but make up another excuse to cover for the previous to look like everything was as planned. It’s a footy forum CR so don’t expect the place to be riddled with Neurosurgeon’s, Doctors , lawyers , Rocket Scientists or anyone who’s gone to Melbourne Uni like that Tom Browne bloke.

Agree with most of that and this year is really all about looking at your list. Just disappointing though that he hasn’t worked out that around six blokes should not play again. The year would be a shamble for any coach let alone a first year coach.

I said from the start I am not judging Yze in the first season.
However, I will be judging him more harshly in season 2 regardless of if we get injuries again next season it's why you get games into young players to take you forward.

Loved his strong response when asked about Longmuir's comments around Amiss. Didn't back down but didn't give the media a snippet for them to go on about.

I dont see Pickett and Mcintosh in the side for much longer, once the injured players returned.
