He lied to us and then the classlessness comes to the fore when he starts interfering in our club, talking about our list and poaching our staff. I hope Dusty is not gullible. So if Dimma agrees with it and Gale mentions it what is it then ?.The problem here on this board you can't be critical of Dimma because of the 3 flags which is bs far from it people sit on the fence to much.Caro reported it some of our hierarchy weren't happy. Like I said great full for the flags ,but his seasons since our last flag alot to be desired. No one wants bad blood just saying it how it is.

We were the laughing stock of the AFL for years and years, Dimma helped changed that and now we are one of the strongest clubs on and off the field.

He would need to do a massive act of forgiveness as I spoke to him around four years ago and he was a bitter nasty man towards the club. I couldn’t run away from him fast enough. He did some great work with the younger guys at our club and he was unlucky to not renewed be a contract after 2016. The club review basically stated A fresh lot of assistants and Dimma was retained bc he was still under contract. We have a clean slate to work with now and I’m looking forward to new ideas, game plan, kids getting an equal go, best 22 being played, players playing in correct positions and hopefully fitness standards being lifted.
Benjamin Miller won’t know himself playing full back or CHB. Probably with Balta the two most screwed around players on the list.

That last bit is what I am interested in. Yze said over and over again how important it is to have a clear role. I hope the speeds along the development of our youth.

Yeah the events after 2020 we rather damning and culture shattering. I couldn’t believe it would worsen to the levels that happened during togetherness round. Then getting on Twitter carrying on like a Tiger of Old after telling us he was cooked , only then to take a job at the GCS. He sadly unraveled all of his good work as a Tiger and the inkling of respect I had for him soon dissipated away.

Yep it was obvious the club needed to hit the ctrl-alt-delete buttons. A great time for a reboot and I was sceptical early on about YZe, but his presser was so honest and triggered a lot of the issues that were bothering me. As many have said bring on 2024 .

Not sure what Adem thinks of Chocco but with being a 'Box' coach he may want somebody on the bench and that why i throw up chocco

He knows his stuff, but yeah can be demanding and demonstrative. Would Benny go down his road again? I personally doubt it.

I think Benny would be open to getting who Yze wanted but Benny is no fool and Chocco wouldnt go against him and stay in his lane
Chocco still had coaching ambitions in 2016 and still felt he had some power this is no longer the case and he is just a development coach thats there to support the coaches and will know his place and be wanting to stay in the game as long as possible

Its all about the Yze/Chocco relationship

Williams seems happy at Melbourne, doubt he will return to Richmond. Plus, Yze mention Ratten as his mentor so he would most likely join Richmond in some capacity.

I joked last month about us being a destination club for sacked head coaches, and all we had to do was add Ratten to have a set lol

On Benny stating basically things had gone awry over the last three seasons I don’t actually mind that as I remember in 2016 he was interviewed pregame and stated he thought they were on track after 2015. I love his honesty with the fans and stakeholders as he actually does something about it. This is the third time he’s made another change to get the club back on track.
His very first time was at the MCG against the Eagles when a young LeCras with the eagles were killing us. We were all shaking our heads bc of our lacklustre performance and Benny (then AFL player’s boss) who was sitting two seats to my right got up and said I’ve had enough and I’m going to save this club. He stormed off and came back with beers all round.
I had doubts in him up to 2016 bc of what happened that season, but true to his word he did it. It wasn’t by luck , but by his brilliant knowledge, excellent management, honesty , great contacts , and most importantly recognising and admitting there was a problem.
The guy really should be the head of the AFL bc of his honesty and integrity and he would instantly put end to all the rot on and off the field.
We are so lucky to have him as he imho is irreplaceable.

I’ll always love Dimma but the recent events have taken a little tiny shine off for me but who cares.

He doesn’t owe us anything. Get over it peeps. Deliver 3 flags I never thought I’d see and you can **** us over after that all you like.

People forget this is a business and not all business decisions are solid.

That line was great but what excites me most is his belief that we’ve gone away from our forward half pressure game and he’s going to address that. I’ve felt that it’s been the killer change in how we’ve gone about playing the game for the last 2-3 years. Play the game in the forward half and our defence will murder other sides imo. Fix it and I’m extremely buoyant about our chances next year.

I agree. We have used the pressure forward role on midfielder we can't fit in. Graham, cotchin, prestia etc. In retrospect we either didn't need hopper, or cotchin should have retired last year
