2024 when he has been severely restricted and has only been played to get him to 300 games on schedule and because there were about 18 other players missing through injury at different times.

He was not the 7th best player, your cherry picking stats to build a case with no end-game.

His last few years are much like Fyfe. Shades of years past, but clearly not at the same level. It happens to most great players. But unlike Fyfe, we are dealing with a situation where we are qyestioning his commitment to the game & club as he has a CLEAR drop in drive & rumours of heading to GC. Fyfe showed he could be a leader to a young core, wherr im not sold Martin has done that beyond his reputation & some apparent games of golf.

None of this changes his past glories & undeniable "all time" impact, but if you judge 2021-2024 Dusty, he isnt making any top 20, 40, 50 list. He made zero AA teams, 1x AA "40" in 2023. To say he was the 7th best player in 2021 is an utter lie

Thought our senior players were the let down today, not the coach. Prestia, Hopper, Taranto DE below 30%, shai not sighted, Dusty no impact. Nank ordinary. Baker ditto and need I mention Short. And if chances were taken we win. Young brigade contributed pretty well along with Vlastuin & Broad. Clean house and get some blokes who are keen.

The removing of the flag photos wouldn’t have gone down well with everyone. He should’ve concentrated on coaching rather than being interior designer or museum coordinator. It wasn’t needed as it could have only backfired and held nothing to be gained from it.

“I had the luxury of walking in and recognising different photos that are up that might have been for too long,” Yze said.
