Balta's commitment proves that yze isn't the issue otherwise he would've looked for other opportunities next year. Most clubs would've been keen to sign him

Some players have a good relationship with him, Balta one of them you saw him on the bench writing something to Yze earlier in the year.

I feel like it's the oldtimers don't like his coaching, Rioli, Bolton & Baker they might like him as a bloke, this is just my guess that they don't think he is commanding enough of players.

Most new coaches do it.
Dimma moved have of Punt Rd to Qld.
Minny has done it with WCE
Mcrea even took Oleg....

if he gets sacked or tenure cut, he will get another shot because bit like Simpson at West Coast, cannot expect miracles straight away, some see it as a excuse but lets get real

Trade capital for the club. He and his manager had mentioned to Freo they wanted Richmond to be compensated properly, tontake care of the club instead of leaving the club to get shafted if he was out of contract anf homesick.

He probably hedged his bets. Probably wanted to go back home to Perth a few years ago but if a trade didn't work out then he had the 5 year contract at Richmond sewn up.

He has to win these new guys over though and be the leader and mentor he's being paid to be.

Very happy they all got to go where they wanted, as they would have been toxic if they stayed long term. What we got in return was very promising. Hopefully we stick to drafting best available & none of these players from left field. This is one draft we cant afford to stuff up, as this will set us up for the next 10 years if we get it right.
