Yes, Nahas 176.So who's seen him play?
and at 172 does that make him the smallest player on the list?

like?? please clarify. As a forward pocket he was a handful for his opponent. Has a hell of a lot of tricks. He's like Cyril in that regard but doing it at a far far lower level and didn't get anywhere near as much ball. But he does have some very good tools to make it but I believe it will be as a small forward.
At 172cm it would. Is that what he measured in at? He was that height 2 years ago.
like?? please clarify.
His ability to spin out of trouble. He's got a neat side step and he's got a quality look away handball. Those little things that keep your defender guessing and force them to panic.like?? please clarify.
We do have room for 6 though. Would still have 3 list spots left. Also feel if you get two of them they may settle better and be competing against each other to improve. Eric Wallace and Yannick Crowder, otherwise don't bother. Those 2 seem to be most impressive.Better off waiting a couple of years as I think there will be better athletes trying out as word will get around in the US. Would take 1 this year though just not two.
Just listening to Kevin Sheahan crap on but he said clubs can have 6 international rookies. We have been looking at the American guys all year. Wouldn't be against us adding a couple of them. May find a good one, might not. It's a numbers game. Look to take 3 a year and keep them for 2 years each and hopefully find one that's worthy of being main listed.
Going by his description of how he plays (tackling etc) he sounds like a shorter version of Nahas.
Yup thats been an issue with Nahas all along, hope youre right!True but would probably not gets knocked off his feet every five minutes though
Yer definitely and as I said we have been planning this all year not just a last minute thing so we are set up for it.I can't help but feel that the club that takes best advantage of the international rookie system is going to get an edge on it's rivals.
Here's to Gideon being the first of many Tiger successes
I thought they weren't counted in the list numbers so we don't have to make room for anyone???

Yer I've seen him. He's a little gem. I went along knowing he was already signed so really only kept my eye on him and Heslin during the game. I believe he was 16 at the time playing against men. Needs to build his tank so he can stay involved as an inside midfielder. Ferocious little tackler. Just smashed a few guys. As a forward pocket he was a handful for his opponent. According to Wallace's twitter he is same height as Crowder but 8kg heavier. He claims he is 201cm 106kg while Crowder was 201cm 98kg. Agree that getting them both would help them settle and with a bit of luck we may just find a good one. Especially as I have every faith in Simon becoming at least a solid depth player. As I said earlier we have spoken to both and have been looking at these USA players all year so we are looking good in terms of trying to sign one.
I think through basketball looking at potential athletes who could translate some of their skills into becoming an AFL ruckman. Then they had a combine in LA.can i ask where have we been looking at them? playing bball? aussie rules clinics in the US? wha?
anyone know how they went in the kicking and handball tests at the combine?

They didn't do the skills tests as they have only just learnt of the game.
Yer I reckon we will have put them through their paces on our own. They may have even been tested at the LA one or at least been looked at kicking the ball around.ah right, cheers
So these blokes have now attended 2 combines, interesting. Surprised no-one has chucked them a ball. Hail Mary recruiting if one gets picked up. Wonder if there is any closed door sessions going on somewhere.
