BAck to a regular season length and games going back to 20 minute quarters is really going to hurt them in the back half of the seasonGeelong are gonna be sh*t, way too old, every club will just burn them for pace.

It was pick 17.... And yes I do hope Geelong finish down a few rungs as that gives us a better pick next year (and like you said, it should be a better draft). I would think that's something most Tiger fans would hope for!Why ? We gave up Pick 20 in a lousy draft for their first in a (likely) hot draft. With all of our young kids gunning for gametime this is a great move. It's a no lose situation. Then if the Cats do finish lower down (not expected by many) it will just be a huge bonus.
It was Pick 20 after NGV bids, they won't happen inside the first 20 picks next yearIt was pick 17....
Especially to draft a (no disrespect) no name kid based on his athletic ability. The kid has played two games in two years. It really does show how shallow this draft was.Ya never know, Geelong could be hit with an injury crisis next year and flop, giving us a glorious sweet juicy pick.
If I was a list manager I don't think I'd ever trade a future first rounder.
With what we've banked the possibilities are endlessWe could potentially trade picks 15 and 18 for a higher pick. These picks are equivalent to pick 5. So picks would be 5, 33, 37, 42 & 45
Or trade 33, 37 & 42 for pick 10 giving us picks 10, 15, 18 & 45.

I'd say a fair chance we'll use all our available picks next draft.3 picks inside 20 and 1 between 20-30 would be perfect
cant see us taking more than 4 picks
Houli & Jack both will retireWe will use maximum picks in the next draft.
Garthwaite is a goner, Bigoa, Miller and Naish are under huge pressure to improve and I can't see them sticking around. That is already 4 players need replacing. Houli will retire, very good chance Jack retires into the media sunset so that's 6 gone. Edwards and Cotchin would be a 50/50 chance to retire...7 or 8.
So you've picked 4 of our young blokes to go and 3 of them are our entire KPD depth with Astbury on his last legs???We will use maximum picks in the next draft.

Chol would want to compete a contest a little more aggressively too ....Houli & Jack both will retire
Cotch 60/40
Sheds can play till mid 30's the way he plays.
Garth & Naish need big years(can't see it happening).
Miller is on the Rookie list so won't effect either way.
Caddy & Aarts expendable for future picks or help with a player trade?
So yeah its touch & go to get the max.
A few tough calls?
Forgot about him.lolChol would want to compete a contest a little more aggressively too ....
How bout Stack plus something for Cerra? If stack stays and can have a good year id trade him out to a freo. Theyd take him i reckon. That would get us another pick in the 20s.
