Have actual recruiters said this?
Or do you mean knightnare? He was the only guy from big footy or traditional media rating uwland in the top 50-60
Its been a while, knightmare was big on him, all the info does merge into one over time.

From memory Knightmare praised his power getting away from stoppages, likened him to Dangerfield (in style, don't think he was saying he would be that good).

So little info though, fingers crossed he gets a good run this year and we can all see.

I remember him playing well as a vfl top up player.. excited for what he can do this year
Yeah he did quite well in some of the games.
Looked particularly strong and robust for a youngster. Similar level as the younger AFL listed guys rather than an academy kid.
Took a few nice intercept marks as well. Seems pretty powerful - I guess where the Dangerfield-like comparisons have come from.

Stood out to me as the best prospect from his years at the Academy and those few VFL games he played. Could be anything if he gets a run .. and has younger brothers Zeke and Jarrah bubbling around in the current Academy Squad.

First real look at Uwland today. With the exception of one missed mark that he really should have taken, I thought he was decent. Don't think he was good enough to warrant a round 1 debut but I think he'll be in the mix after a few solid VFL performances this year.

Here is Uwland back in his Broady days for those who get a bit nostalgic with these things:

Rising Star !

19 and 13 marks massive

Started the season well as a lockdown defender, has progressed into a nice intercepting general defender. Safe with the footy and built like an Ox
More from the Burleigh football factory on their way. His younger brother is going to be a absolute gun.

So happy to see Bodhi come on this year! All he needed was a bit of confidence and self belief in his role, and Hardwick coming in has given him exactly that. Only going to get better from here and will be a real leader in that backline in time.

Interesting we've had a few goes with locally grown small lockdown defenders
I was disappointed Jesse Joyce didn't progress - I think he could have but seemed to fall out of favour with Dew-not unusual of course
I was never on the Budders Bandwagon.
Bad decision making at times.Footskills not where you'd like for a guy not blessed with speed
With Bodhi it might be third time lucky

Bodhis been great since coming back in!
Really felt there was a big turning point when the 2s beat the borough where one of their players ran through bodhi and it's like he took it personally.
2 mins later, the same bloke tried taking him on and bodhi crunched him.
Next week played a ripper and straight back into the 1s with that same momentum.
Love his courage and boot, hope he keeps this trajectory

Since this thread's come up again I may as well re-post the snippet from Damien Hardwick's interview where he said that Bodhi Uwland is the player that reminds him the most of himself as a player:
(24:18-25:08)

I will admit right now that I didn't see what everyone was raving about Bodhi but I have become a believer.
He is as hard as you would like a back man to be and can really kick a football, has the smarts to beat who he is plaing on and will only get better with more playing time.
Bring it on
