Imagine your team finally landing the player they've been chasing for the last two years and the first thing you can do is have a melt about Geelong. What on average does pick 18 get downgraded to after all the academy picks and f/s and priority picks etc?
Ill be following it with almost as much interest as if it were our own pick.

I'm not sure what all the hoopla is about.West Coast lost no players, gained a guy in his peak who nearly won the brownlow and lost a few lucky dip draft picks in a weak draft.

It's obviously a good moneyball play from Geelong, but by the time these mid-tier draft picks are in their prime Danger,Selwood, Ablett, Touhy, Taylor, Rohan and Hawkins will have all retired.Seemsva recipie for continual top 8 but no GF cigar.

We are setting ourselves up for the future. We were going to pay Kelly 800k+ so we now have that and bargaining power to get a Cameron via FA. We have culled the deadwood and will have a very solid youth base.
Maybe after a preseason of family drama we can pick TK up again in the preseason draft.
