Welcome to the game of Werewolf.... an attempt to try and bring back some of the fun and enjoyment to this board, that has largely been punching on and tearing itself apart for the better part of the last 12 months.

It can seem pretty complex initially but it doesn't take a heck of a lot of effort to play and can be highly entertaining and addictive to play when you get into it. (It is often reffered to as mafia outside of this place if you have heard of it that way)
I have tried to put a spin on it that will appeal to all players.
The rules and the roles are listed below as follows.
We we have enough players a random generator will assign roles, those that have a role will be informed via PM, those in groups will be informed and included in the appropriate group PM.
Now CE has given me permission to post this on the main board, if it takes off or after the first game we will likely move it to the scratching post.
Also I have cleared my Geelong related ignore list.... all players are welcome. The purpose of this is a chance to escape the petty infighting that has swept the place
ALSO MODS ARE WELCOME TO PLAY... ANY MENTION OF A MOD IN GAME REFERS TO THE PERSON RUNNING/MODERATING THE GAME

THIS GAME HAS VARIOUS ROLES. PLEASE READ THE OP CAREFULLY.
Basic Rules:
At the beginning of the game each player is given a 'role' at random and in secret (via PM) by the moderator.
The aim of the Villagers is to identify and kill all of the Werewolfs before the evil faction can kill enough villagers so that (# of e.g. Werewolves = # of Villagers).
How are players killed?
Each 'turn' of the game will last approximately 24 hours and also represents one 'day' of game time,thus a game will go on for several days before it is concluded. There are two 'phases' to every turn of the game;
night Phase (8:00pm – 7:00am):When evil factions secretly decide among themselves, via PM communication, which Villager (one per night) that they shall kill and then inform the moderator via PM. Others with a Night action also enter their actions now via PM to the Mods. Decisions for the night phase are to be in no later than 7am.
Day Phase (7:00am – 8:00pm):After the results of Night actions have been announced, everybody, Villagers, and Werewolfs discusses and ultimately votes publicly in the game-thread upon which player (one per day) that they shall lynch and kill. Votes for the day phase are to be in no later than 8pm.
Obviously during the day the Villagers will want the group to vote for and lynch an evil player, whilst the evil players themselves will want not to be lynched;
herein lies the fundamental strategy of the game:
Can the villagers identify the evildoers whilst at the same time convincing the rest of the group that they're not evil? And can the evildoers convince the group that they're not evil at all and thus avoid being lynched?
Werewolf Etiquette:
There are two main rules which everyone must follow in order for the game to run successfully;
DEAD PLAYERS MUST LEAVE THE GAME
If you are killed at any point during the game then you are no longer allowed to participate although I will allow a farewell post, but that post cannot impact the remainder of the game.
THERE MUST BE NO PRIVATE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN PLAYERS EXCEPT WITHIN THE GROUPS LISTED BELOW
Except for the above-mentioned groups sending PMs between themselves, other forms of private communication concerning the game are not allowed.
Anyone caught sending screen captures of BigFooty of any kind in this thread will be mod-killed instantly with no warning.
Anyone caught quoting PMs from the mods will be mod-killed without warning.
For the day phase a reason for your lynch vote is required
Voting:
During the Day Phase players must vote for whom to lynch, your vote must be formatted in bold like this: Player Name.
For this game you may not vote NO LYNCH.
Upon the voting deadline (end of day-phase) the votes will be tallied by the moderator and whoever has received the most will be lynched and be out of the game: remember, once killed you cannot take further part; do not reveal your roles to anyone until the game has been concluded.
FAILURE TO VOTE IN 2 CONSECUTIVE DAY PHASES WILL RESULT IN BEING MODKILLED
Any ties in voting will result in both players being lynched.
***NOTE***: This game will start with a night phase, Which unfortunately means that 2 of you will be dead before you really get to play.... it is vital though to get the ball rolling and to start discussion and speculation
Roles
Werewolfs (4) – Get 1 kill per night phase
Gary Ayres (Alpha Werewolf) – The leader of the evil pack, he gets the final call for the night kill (while alive)
David King (Junior Werewolf) – The 2nd in command, if he survives the first 3 days the Werewolfs gain the ability to analyse (seer) a player a night
Leigh Colbert & Dermott Brereton (Werewolfs) – Assists with the night kills
Win condition: Have more or equal players to the village
WILDCARD
Gary Ablett Jnr – Gaz starts out as an innocent villager, but he has a chance to change teams during the game. If Gaz correctly identifies (via PM to me) the indentity of his father within 3 guesses he gets to join either stay loyal to Geelong and join the leadership group, or he turns his back on his teammates to join the the evil (werewolfs)
Village
The Leadership Group (3) Cameron Ling, Joel Selwood, Tom Harley – The 3 town members in the Leadership Group share a PM together.
Mark Robinson (Fake Seer) –Robbo gets incorrect information each night phase, Robbo does not know that he is the fake seer or that his information is incorrect.. (Robbo is told he is Sam Newman)
Sam Newman (Seer) – Gets to learn the role of 1 player each night phase
Gary Ablett Snr (Doctor) – Can protect 1 player each night phase. Can protect themselves. Cannot protect the same person in consecutive nights.
Patrick Dangerfield (vigilante) - Danger has been recruited to turn around the fortunes of the struggling club, at night he is able to kill one player of his choosing
Cats Players (Village) (7) - Players who will not reveal a role via PM... your job is to try and sniff out evil based on the game and what goes on.
The Carji Greeves: There will be a Carji in play for this game. It will start with someone randomly and must be passed on after each day phase. It protects you from both night and day phase kills. If the Amulet is given to a faction it can only be passed around to each member once before it must leave the faction.
Win condition: Eliminate the Werewolfs
