West Coast were (2011 and recent history) and are better then Carlton. So much for their excuses on a 'perfect run of injuries' and 'spooners draw' because the fact is WE HAVE A BETTER SIDE. In fact we had it just as tough in terms of injuries and they didn't deserve to make the top 4 in 2011 if they couldn't beat quality sides.
As for 2012 Gaff, Shuey, NicNat, Masten, Hurn, Kennedy (haha thanks for handing him over) and Darling will show you why we have the makings of a premiership whilst the Blues can continue to get ahead of themselves with their captain and their 21 other number one draft picks.

when the fixtures are released I doubt too many fans rush to make sure they are free when Carlton plays WC. It does not really inspire the masses like a Coll Ess and dare I say GWS kind of a contest. But OK if WC fans want to promote the "fierce" rivalry between the 2 clubs than we can obilge.

If we wanted to forge a rivalry with an established club, I'm sure we would like to have it with a club that has integrity & competitiveness, not some hack of a cheating club who have won 3 spoons in the naughties.
