among five AFL-listed players named to face East Fremantle in the first WAFL practice match of the season.

Jones named alongside Baker and Burgiel in the backline, with Harvey Johnston on the wing and Jack Williams named as our starting ruck.

Some new faces - Kye Barker, Revis Alone, Mitchell Anderson, Oscar Armstrong, Trey Ruscoe, James Spadanuda, Rory Charles, Reagan Hutchinson and Allan Narkle set to play their first unofficial WAFL Eagles minutes.

Yep. We were pretty competitive early but East Freo have kicked away and are now 40 points up 23 minutes into the second term.

Jordyn Baker probably the best of the AFL-listed players so far, getting a fair bit of the ball in defence and showing good composure. Jones probably next best but hasn’t had a massive impact.

Ethan Sambo has kicked 2 and done some nice things.

Plenty of new faces out here. Trey Ruscoe looks a good addition - looks a class above and is very vocal on field.

Im a broken record about this.... but 5 AFL listed players?

How long before we accept this is the norm rather than the exception?

Half time now - East Freo (12.4 76) lead West Coast (4.5 29)

Burgiel - has gotten a decent amount of footy without being too damaging. Keeping an eye on his defensive running tonight as from memory this was one of his areas of improvement

Jack Williams - splitting time between ruck and forward. Seems to be double teamed at every contest. Has one behind so far - from a set shot 40m out directly in front.

Johnston - I like the way he moves and he looks skilful, but composure hasn’t been there so far.
