Bar of soap out there - makes for poor viewing. Jamo, except for his 1 brain fade, has been good. He is developing well, I think. Just needs another big year in the gym.

Culley did some nice stuff in the last. Saw him spoil a mark, beat 3 on the deck for the ball and dish the clean hands to our man. Plenty to work with.

Good game from Xon. Looks pretty thicc. Bring him in for the rest of the year to play Shueys role. Captain to the back or forward flank, your call Simmo.
He's now had a few games against men to get used to the physicality and bigger bodies and pace and toughness and get a bit of senior match fitness.
I'd be tempted to give a run in the AFL for development and to give him that motivation and chance to get a feel for the next step up.

Xon 25 disposals and 8 tackles Naish got 32 disposals and 2 tackles. Both played well and Culley with 16 disposals and 7 tackles is building. I think Xon had more of an impact. Jamieson with 21 disposals and 16 Hitouts was good aswell. Some decent green shoots there.
Naish slamming the ball on the boot to no one did not work at wafl level today and certainly doesn't work at afl level .

There is a reason he was delisted by tigers .

What's the opposite of composure?

Xon on the other hand was very good and should be in our afl team for the rest of the year . Tough , classy by hand and foot with good leg speed over the ground .

Yeah Xon was better all things being considered. Naish butchers the ball too much.

It would be a dream if XON could develop to be a reliable Best 22 mid

Yep

And it’s why we should put him in the seniors and play him as a full time mid for the rest of the season

We literally have nothing to lose by doing so

Re your Shuey comments HAS to be forward. He doesn't have the run anymore to gun it out the back 50 and we already have Jones, Cole, Duggan for that (and should be Rotham but seems to have had his natural game coached out of him).
At least on the HFF we know he can kick a slick goal.

Agree on the midfield - Xon deserves to show what he's got. He's never really been terrible and imo has always seemed to demonstrate he belongs - not in an insta-Judd sorta way (before anyone snaps back at my comment) but in a deserving of a run of games kinda way.

Agreed. XON has always had good composure and neat disposal. Seems to have a good footy brain and looks to belong at AFL level. He just struggled to get into games, apart from the win against the pies. But how much of that was due to being played as a HFF or similar? Play him on ball! Shuey at half forward (with some middle rotations) seems a good option to let this happen.

When you say Nelson has had a big game, which one of his 13 possessions have you liked best?

Not looking at possession numbers, he was good in the tough going, putting his body in and doing grunt work/1 percenters. A game in such conditions is not all about possessions, you know.
