And Subi are doing terribly. What more could you want out of a season

Couldn't agree more; I think everyone has had a gut-full of Subi in the finals.

I've always thought a semi-merged WAFL-SANFL league would be cool as the VFL would no longer be the premier secondary league..

Even if it were just an end of season Champions League style top 4 from both leagues play a finals type campaign against each other.

They had WAFL teams playing SAFL and VFL teams years ago . Claremont went alright at the time . McGovern on our rookie list was a star and should have been playing AFL a lot earlier than he was .

Has been going around for the Royals in their reserves side.

TBH outside of his last game of reserves has done nothing to deserve a call up to WAFL level, hence East Perth being willing to loan him for a game of seniors for the Beagles.

Players in the 26-man AFL squad aren’t named in the WAFL, but emergencies who aren’t required will come into the side. So you can probably add two or three of Clark/Dixon/Bazzo/Nelson to the six players that were named today.

I get that playing Hough in the AFL side on the wing has pushed him out of the side, and that's good. I'm just surprised he hasn't been recalled at all in the past couple of months.

His ball use really needs tidying up. Seems to run to the right places and provides an option in space, but too often just bombs it long. Gets a lot of the ball but needs to lower his eyes more.

lots of possessions mostly butchered. Hough I think has far better composure, and probably skill, and is a long term investment

The commentary makes it seem so much worse - bloke sounds like a hungover actor limping into the studio to deliver a first table read of a script he's not particularly excited about.
