To be fair I'm 99% sure that WCE and Freo have the same owners, so it's not that big a deal anyway. The retail Castore design is what I would call a Castore guernsey - if Sekem had produced something resembling that then fine. But to slap a Castore logo on the standard Sekem template, which can be seen in full glory on the team down the road, and then put out a puff piece video claiming these are "Castore", whilst selling a completely different looking retail version in your team store, is bullshit.
If I'm not mistaken that would be GameDay apparel who also used to put the monograms on the Nike Carlton jumper. They used to go by Hot Sub until a few years ago.Yeah aren't Puma and Adidas player issues made by some Victorian company? (forgot their name)
Sekem have made guernseys over time on behalf of Asics, Piping Hot, Skins, Adidas etc
I wouldn't be surprised if Sekem eventually sell off the naming rights with their Freo apparel to another brand like they've done so much in the past

Fair enough, do you think sekem would revisit the collar to make it more like the public sale version?Design is the same, only real difference is the collar and cuffs piping and style, which really isn’t all that different to NBA selling Swingman jerseys that are a completely different cut to the authentics. Sure, it’s not ideal, especially for a “big club”, but it’s nothing to lose sleep over.

*scottish league teamWasnt It Castore that slapped that out sourced an EPL sides gear to a local school uniform manufacturer?

"In order to meet both the high demand and short timescales required for an August release, the decision was taken to outsource the manufacture of this product to a third party, which is not common practice for Castore.
Yes, Fruit of the Loom school jumpers with Castore and Rangers logos heat pressed on.
Also shipped pro versions of the kit (made in China) instead of cheaper replica versions (made in Turkey).

Paywalled article on The West now. Probably be in tomorrow’s paper.
Stitch up! West Coast’s pre-season jumper drama
West Coast have been forced to turn to century-old local manufacturer after a premium British sportswear brand backed by tennis star Andy Murray couldn’t deliver suitable jumpers on time.thewest.com.au
Article confirms most things in this thread
1. Guernseys are made by Sekem
2. Castore delivered Guernsey, but they did not fit and Eagles did not accept them
3. Castore called making AFL guernsey "a steep learning curve".
4. Deal is still in place and Sekem Guernsey's are interim temporary arrangement.
the strange man with the locomotive themed username was right!
