Achilles tendinitis most commonly occurs in runners who have suddenly increased the intensity or duration of their runs. Hope Nic Nat likes swimming . I used to swim 60 laps at pace to look like an olympic athlete ,it is an awesome way to lose weight and keep the aerobic ability . You can genuinely keep in good shape if you want to

Naitanui should be wearing career savers, shame he’s sponsored by Nike

Simmo is setting the senior guys up to fail first.

Half this but imagine the pile on if we don’t win at the start and the kids are playing. They’re no good etc

Play our b22 with a sprinkle of youth and develop them gently and when we win the flag that’ll be swell

I started swimming every day this summer to strengthen my shoulder. Turns out swimming isn't that great for shoulders, it is now worse than it was before continually popping out of the joint. Next step surgeon I guess.
I've started swimming after 20 years of not doing freestyle. One thing I've learnt is it is incredibly technical. I'm still getting my technique right and I probably expend twice the energy as the other guys in the group. My shoulders can take the brunt of it sometimes because of arm technique and the fact I'm not getting much out of my legs (so it's really my arms that are propelling me along).

If you choose to keep with it I'd suggest jumping into a swim group with a decent coach who can teach you how to minimise stress on the shoulders.

What are career savers?

A fairly dorky pair of Asics footy boots that are shaped more like a pair of runners than a pair of boots.

Prevents stress on your feet, ergo the name.

Some players swear by them. They got made cool again recently by Red Bull Rowell wearing them.

What happened to Coby burgiel? Haven’t heard anything about him. Is he injured?

Very attacking player, being developed in defence due to his ball handling, speed and kicking skills. Will hopefully also significantly improve the defensive side of his game. Is a bit further behind the development curve for AFL level than Ginbey and Long. I know people aren't going to like me saying this but the more I see of long the more I see almost a clone of Lachie Schultz.
