Melts are all well and good, but don't read into a preseason match too much.

Slow, not instinctive run, no hadw work. XON, rucks (Sorry Jamo), Waterman, Branders twin etc are nevre going to be AFL standard - as in winners.
Barrass will never be strong one on one defender. Thus cannot be captain - not good enough at his job..

The one note I’d make is that this is similar to last week. The wind plays a decent factor at this ground given no grandstand to mitigate it. Hope it was a 5 goal wind….

Good to remember that last year was a completely wasted season, in regards to implementing a new game plan.

Realistically, this year is where we were at 12 months ago, in regards to learning the new game plan.

Too many on here far too worried about our young rucks, they are fine for their age. Most teams have bog average rucks, and at his age Nic isn't coming to rescue us.


It's our mids and our setups that's the issue, and has been for years. We won a GF and finals series with Vardy and Lycett against Gawn and Grundy. Cats won a GF with Rhys Stanley
