But most of the guys are playing are the same old trudgers....
Again, I find it difficult to believe this is how we play in two weeks. I understand this stuff is hard wired into the players but I expect to see something else when the season proper begins.

Just got home from work. Saw the score on the AFL app and figured I'd check in here. How are your kids playing?

Ginbey looking good but that's coz he's been playing in the back half and had plenty of opportunities and has done well. Chesser hasn't seen much and anyone forward of centre has cobwebs on them.

This should make the Port Board look good,
Slow, not instinctive run, no hadw work. XON, rucks (Sorry Jamo), Waterman, Branders twin etc are nevre going to be AFL standard - as in winners.
Barrass will never be strong one on one defender. Thus cannot be captain - not good enough at his job..
We are always destroyed by fast transition.
Ginby is one of our best already
Without Gov we would be a WAFL side at times.
Lucky Hurn played on.
Sheed is a plodder.
Leadership - havent seen any since Cuz in reality.
This was unacceptable rubbish when Schoe was coaching Subi- interesting what his take will be. We need a huge lift.
It preseason - but we need to see lessons learnt and a contest.

Too many on here far too worried about our young rucks, they are fine for their age. Most teams have bog average rucks, and at his age Nic isn't coming to rescue us.

It's our mids and our setups that's the issue, and has been for years. We won a GF and finals series with Vardy and Lycett against Gawn and Grundy. Cats won a GF with Rhys Stanley.

We have zero system going forward, and have no idea how to move the ball. It's all coaching

And the reality check has arrived. It is what it is and there will be growing pains.

missed him by 5 meters
Nah, if he was on the move Gov would have received it and drived it down the middle of the ground. You'd be surprised how much ground you can make up on those long handballs.

Look, it wasn't a great play, but it's not unusual to see disconnects in the pre season.
