I don't like this sounds too much like denial - our defensive work needs to be better and shifting the goal posts to sugar coat it doesn't solve the problem

I agree. Take a couple of quarters out and we are probably 0-3.

'Consistency is the next phase' is a phrase used to describe a second or third year player, imo. Not a player in his 8th season with 140+ games under his belt.

Yep it isn't like he is a 25 game player yet to hit 70+ where consistency starts to be the norm.

Its not even so much that our defence is leaking goals - which it is - its more that we've deliberately gone smaller to aid our rebounding capacity and that hasn't eventuated. Compounds the existing problem we have with our slow one dimensional midfield. Hurn, Sheppard and Wellingham in particular - need to pull their fingers out big time.

I was born and bred victorian (I have a lot of other problems too) I have lived in NSW, SA and Queensland too and really was annoyed by how Vic is the only important part of Australia. Its like the Penis, commands too much power without really being very astute or diplomatic.

Hey guys, just want to wish you the best of luck for tomorrow night's game! I'll be barracking hard for the Eagles because like most of you the AFL $wans absolutely disgust me, and watching them start their season Owen 4 would be a nice little compo for us possibly doing the same lol.

Really hope you smash this plastic franchise and show them absolutely no mercy. Bonus points if you make Longmire cry in the coaching box like he did against us in the 2013 QF.
