this would be my team and im looking at the opposition match ups not just the players.

F/B- Waters Glass Bones
H/B- Selwood Hunter Hurn
C- Embley Priddis Rosa
H/F- Stinger Kennedy Lynch
F/F- Lecras Hansen Armstrong
R/R- Cox Kerr Braun

Int: Seaby Wirra J.Mac Graham
Emeg: Ebert, Masten, Staker, Fletcher

Was at the game against Ess and fletchers disposals were shocking... turnovers galore! :thumbsdown:and staker wasn't chasing hard enough or trying to create space :mad:he stood on the wing while his player streamed forward. So drop those two till they get it right! Graham worked hard stuck to his man and earnd his spot :thumbsu:as did Spanger but couldnt fit him in:( and put ARMY in as he can play midfield as well.:thumbsu:

Yeah i know your all right but in saying that i agree with the majority that Rosa shouldn't in the team. He just hasn't earned it but obviously he is a hit with the coaching staff. Oh well his time will come if he does not improve.
Rosa is a handy player and is in our best 22 definately

Not long now :D

My best 22 line up would be something like this:

FB: Waters, Glass, Hurn

HB:
Selwood, Hunter, Bones

C:
Fletcher, Priddis, Braun

HF:
Embley, Hansen, Kennedy

FF:
Wirra, Lynch, LeCras

R:
Cox, Kerr, Stenglien

I/C:
Seaby, Rosa, Staker, McNamara

EMG:
Graham, Schofield, Ebert, Masten

One kid who's really impressed me in the preseason, particularly in the NAB cup derby is Jamie McNamara. He is courageous and chases hard. Hopefully he can do a Priddis this year and really shine in our midfield :thumbsu:

FB: Waters - Glass - Nicoski
HB: Hurn - Graham - Jones
C: Fletcher - Priddis - Selwood
HF: Embley - Lynch - Hunter
FF: Wirra - Hansen - LeCras
R: Cox - Kerr - Stenglien
I/C: Seaby - Rosa - Staker - Masten

Nicoski was quoted in yesterdays paper as saying he'll line up in a back pocket taking over Chickys role. Woosha has said he was rapt in Grahams effort down back and Hunter has said he'll be used up forward more this year. Hansen's strong showing at FF last week will ensure he gets a first up gig in that position. I think Braun will miss out as I don't think he's 100%. Staker can be used anywhere and is an ideal match up for Brennan. Glass to play on Brown and B.Jones on Bradshaw. Graham to play on Henderson if they name him or Mitch Clark.

Rookies to the rescue.
If Kerr doesn't get the all clear to play against Brisbane we could have an All Rookie Midfield for round 1.
Fletcher,Priddis, McNamara & Cox all came off the rookie list.
That would have to be a first in the AFL.

love this lineup.... :thumbsu:

its a tough one with jmac over ebert, probably about even for me, but as jmac has a bit more experience, he should get the nod for round one over ebert, but wont be long till ebert comes in though..

Im jealous! Ill miss half the season whilst im overseas travelling the world. Ill be back for the second half of the season but still it's annoying to miss the football. But then again I am travelling all over the UK, Europe and the USA so I suppose i cant complain. Im getting my family back home to tape every game though and the internet shall keep me up to date.

GO WEST COAST!!!!!!

I really want us to trial Hansen as a full forward and push Lynch / Kennedy out to the half forward line. He showd last week he can kick a bag and maybe....just maybe a few less km in the legs each game will settle down his hammies.

Hunter to play more forward is interesting concidering all the forward KPP vying for a spot. Maybe Embly will be strickly in the midfield rotation this year as he did tend to fade in and out of games when playing forward?

Wirra Hansen Lynch (licence to roam)

Le Cras Kennedy Hunter ??

Embley Pridis Rosa

Hurn Spanger / Graham A Selwood

B Jones Glass Nicoski

Cox, Kerr, Stinga

Int: Seaby, Staker, Fletcher, Waters

Emerg: J Mac, Ebert, C Jones

Crickey, how hard is it to fit in the young fella's???

That interchange is pretty flexible.

Thats a monster forward line. Probably too big really, especially given the resting ruckman will spend time down there.

But jeez, the marking power is awesome.

I dont know why, but I always get worried when Sheedy starts talking us up.

At least he thinks we will finish inside the top eight, unlike most of the football "experts".

Somehow I find it hard to feel sorry for you... :p

Where is Sam Butler? Is he injured or just out of form. We missed him last year. He's in my 22 if he's fit. Also, will Armstrong push for selection this year? I still think he adds value, especially if we need ooh aah Mark Le Cras to play on the ball.

My 22 looks like this...

Selwood Glass Waters
Hurn Hunter Jones
Fletcher Priddis Embley
Braun Hansen Staker
Le Cras Lynch Wirrpanda
Cox Stenglein Kerr

Seaby Rosa Kennedy Butler

Hurn ahead of Waters for a flank - need his run and carry
Braun on a flank ahead of Fletch - Brauny very dangerous around goals
Love Embley on a wing, when at his best he just patrols the entire ground
Rosa is a great impact player of the bench and often gets under the oppositions guard
Like to see Seaby rest in the goal square at times - great strong pack mark.

The next week and a half can't go fast enough!

He's recovering slowly from groin surgery. Still not training with the main group.

Has anyone else had hassles with Ticketmaster delaying the tickets? it's been over 2 days since I bought it, so the 48 hour delay is over, but I still can't print my damn ticket!

Bit difficult to travel the world in a few months

Or did you just mean the airports ? ;)

Enjoy, anyway.

Well the world really means London, Leeds, Liverpool, Amsterdam, Krakow, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Prague, Nice, Rome, Monte Carlo, Barcelona, New York City, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Sydney.

Already been gone almost 2 months and have done the first 5 stops. Plenty more to come. Travelling really does rule. Only drawback is that I will miss half the season.
