McCarthy off the HB? Hayley Bullas cant get into the side, with Kellie Gibson given another crack. S-Mac will have to bide her time further.

I'm feeling nervous too, because I think we're actually a chance to finish ahead of you guys this season. I'll love it next year, but not this year.

I think we’ll chop up through the middle for large portions of games, but I doubt we’ll kick scores big enough to win regularly.

I'm concerned about their forward line; Sharp is out (underrated player), Duffy too, Roxy's out (taking longer to develop than they'd hoped, I think). That puts a lot on Houghton, who could kick 5-0 or 0-5. Tighe is supposed to be good, but it'll be her first game, plus East is terrific, but ditto. The interesting thing for me is E Antonio is named on the bench for this game -- weird, unless they're trying to throw us off, not knowing where she'll play. Surely she's playing forward, given their backline is already better than ours, plus to replace what they've lost up forward. If she is forward, then okay, they're probably stronger forward and back than us... but their scoring dried up toward the end of last season too.

And our midfield is simply more talented than theirs. Less experienced, but if the raw talent wins out, Freo might not get much delivery into their forward line. Of course, we have to score too, and their backline on paper craps on our forward line. We'll see, could be tight.

The best player in the draft this year happens to be a WA girl. Will lol if we somehow finish above freo and miss out on her.

Windy conditions might suit us IMO, means our forward line might thrive under a bit of chaos.
