Understandable your actions ClarkeM, I agree with alot you have said in your post about the season starting to early and I know what it's like the be burnt out. You have been a club legend for many seasons so just pop in whenever you get the chance, hopefully you will find your passion for this place like it once was again. Also good luck with your new opportunities in real life as well mate

As for TheFreshBanana, he has all the abilities to be a great leader for this club and I will do everything I can to help him through the process. Congratulations mate.

Also would like to announce that Speck will be joining our leadership group for Season 18. His work around the club is fantastic as well as his experience in the league, he is a real asset for us.

If others are also interested in a leadership role for our club then contact myself and TheFreshBanana. The fact is we need to groom new leaders for this club for the future. People like myself, Crowey, Marklar, ClarkeM, Shallow who have been here for awhile aren't going to be here forever.

I was talking to Eth this morning and he kind of made everything clear to me and so I messaged TFB straight away. He has accepted and I know that he will be a great captain. I then relayed this on to croweater 41 and he could see exactly where I was coming from so it just makes sense to hand it over. That is all.

Anyway I must thank PVF for the opportunity to be a part of the leadership group. I guess I agree with the others in that it has been a short off-season for us but I guess playing in a grand final can do that. Remember others had a month extra of non playing than us so we have to take their perspectives too. It is easy to be burnt out in this league hence why I've kept away recently.
