For real this time? Heard the same rumor last season, just wanna know if its true this time...

Watching the GF last year i found it hilarious that, in the tense final quarter, David's old man instructed him and an uncle/cousin to run behind the goals and line the Maffra players up for shots on goal. So you had a dual Liston medallist standing amongst all these kids who wanted to try to mark the footy, with his hands up in the air as if he was competing against them all.

It seems like it has been a quiet year for recruiting in the WGLFL this year it seems like Drouin, Warragul and Wonthaggi havnt done much and Morwell, Traralgon and Maffra havnt recruited much either. Thats why this league has dropped off because of its ability to attract top line players to the area. You look at the Goulburn Valley, Ovens & Murray and Geelong Leagues they are all recruiting big names and strengthening there comp!

Dan McKenna is playing at Traralgon. Massive pick up, given he's spent the last 2 years on the Geelong list. Played a couple of NAB Cup games, but no regular season games.

That inclusion has swayed me to think Traralgon might go one better this year

He is the only man I know that has had to leave 4 clubs, having coached 2 of them, and still not think he has done anything wrong.
If this is his second year there, I suggest they start looking for a replacement. Won't be long now.

Up at Salefc training the other night ,they are going to surprise a lot of people this year.For a start ,they will have a senior team that is probably one of the tallest and biggest lineups that has ever been at the club.Regular senior players over the last couple of years may be struggling to get a game.Their onballers are all mostly 6'2"+.The Maggies could be a real darkhorse in 2010.

Dan McKenna a nice pick up for Traralgon but I'm pretty sure they are more enthused by picking up Leigh McDonald from Churchill. Him and Hazelman in the midfield for them will be more than enough to tip them over the line this year.

Wouldn't like to speculate ,lets just say that competition for spots in the 1's will be tighter than it has been for a few years.

totally agree saint leo! Maybe not last season but previous years for sure. But Jaworskyj 1971 doesnt want to speculate.

You guys are worse than Hutchy.Look, i think a couple of the older guys might have to make sure they're as fit as the younger guys coming through and also the recruits that have been picked up to assure their spot is safe.I don't think experience alone will cut it this year as to necessarily guaranteeing a game.Favorable position to be in ,there should be no need to play anyone who isn't fully fit and may be carrying injuries for a start.
