I believe you may have your facts wrong ,Nick Heyne was mentioned in the best players for Maffra recently in their demolition of Sale a couple of weeks back as a matter of fact.

maffra has done nothing wrong they're a great football club .There is a deep hatred of them in Sale however ,and that comes from years of hearing Maffraites run not only our football club but our whole town down which is a bit rough considering the vast majority of them work over here and some including the coach live over here.One prominent (high up) Maffra player was running around the lake one day earlier this year and actually spat at a sale official coming toward him who was walking the other way with his kid in a pram.Things like that just don't endear the Maffra fc to anyones hearts in Sale i'm afraid.That and their recent history of poaching junior players from ,well anywhere really means a lot of the footballing fraternity and not just in Sale can't wait for them to go down.

Wrong again champ - just can't get those facts right can you? You are probably refering to Nick Hider, the bloke who won the league best and fairest and the medal for best on the ground in the granny last year - but seeing you think we've only got two players you probably haven't heard of him!!

Were you at the game ? I wasn't ,i was working dayshift that day but a reliable source who was there told me that Nick Heyne back from Power for the day cut us up ,perhaps he is not too reliable after all.I have heard of Hider BTW,. curley headed guy actually lives in Sale now .if Heyne wasn't there ,i apologise and stand corrected.i was also told that Campbell Heath played that day but i suppose that is inaccurate as well.
 
Cambo would have played that game.. as i said earlier he'd be at Maffra regardless (he is best mates with butcher regardless of footy)

The main problem with Maffra this season is that the 3rd Burgiel brother, aka Ben Durrant, is not playing due to being in Somalia on a one man peace keeping mission. Benny is a bit like Ghandi in that he can not rest unless the world is in peace, hence his hasty exit at the start of the footy season to race over to Somalia and tackle some of the major world issues head on. He is probably the most important cog in all of Maffra's past successes and the major reason there form has been erratic this year. If those Somalians could sort out their shit so Benny could get back to Maffra before finals time, I would think Maffra will be a monty to win their 42nd consecutive grand final. Watch for Ben Durrant to get blind on the Friday night before the Grand Final and then kick 12 - 16 goals from the forward pocket to ice the game!

Has Kal Killoran gone there too or is he still in Kazakstan as usual ?
 
There is no way Ben Durrant wrote that original post. He's not that clever. May have been one of his Pommy mates.
Killer Killoran is playing for Bacchus Marsh in the Ballarat league.

No Burgiels on Saturday and we pump Warragul by 49 points - doesn't say much for Warragul if Maffra are nothing without the Burgiels!

Warragul didn't have the leagues best midfield and ruckmen in Ryan Davey and Matt Grey. And they were playing 2 first gamers, in Brenton Smith and Jamie Ferguson.

Warragul seniors and thirds for the flag :)
