I'm pretty fine with this, on the proviso they don't get cute and try to play him in the top seven.

McKenzie or Spoors the other potentional options? Not particularly across the other young spinners.

Another very WA start, losing three wickets cheaply, but Cartwright with the rearguard action again. No one wants to put their hand up for an opener's spot with Australia.
TBH, none of Aust current batsmen are putting their hands up to keep their spots....failures all around for Ussie, Smith, Labs and Mitch today...only Carey looking like he is in any sort of form.....with Head on A/L....

Labs off the hook because he performed well in the last game and at least scratched out 22.

In other news, Teague Wyllie averaging 203 in Premier Cricket. Only dismissed once in three innings, including 98n.o. on the weekend.
Need him to come good now. That test side is bloody old and it seems everyone around the test mark are all in there late 20’s and 30’s.

To put into perspective a gold chunk of these oldies started their test careers in their early to mid 20’s

Coops starting to look like a three format player.
