This too. We've got some good young kids coming up though, so we should still be there and abouts, at least.Three years of being the best eventually catches up with you.

We have 3 out 4 shield games I think in the back end of the season at the WACA that will helpThis too. We've got some good young kids coming up though, so we should still be there and abouts, at least.
He's fine apparently, been cleared of neck damage, potentially a whiplash-like situation.Hopefully Cartwright is okay, he's having scans on his neck, hopefully just a sprained neck muscle.
I saw we won the U19 Champs - does anyone know much about any of the prospects?
Budge the WA skipper, scored a couple of tons, think he ended up the carnivals leading scorer....opening batsman from memory.I saw we won the U19 Champs - does anyone know much about any of the prospects?
I’ll take a punt, on Shield at least. If everyone was fully fit and available, what would be the strongest XI that the Warriors could put out? Both in Sheffield Shield and One Day Cup formats?
Goodwin is 11th on runs this year tbf, and I don't really see Connolly as a 3 long termI’ll take a punt, on Shield at least.
Whiteman
Bancroft
Connolly
Hardie
Cartwright
Inglis
Turner
Richardson
Paris
Rocchiccioli
Morris
Turner could be exchanged for Goodwin, perhaps. Fanning, Wyllie waiting in the wings, as well as Kelly, Couch, Gannon.
Spot on....in red ball cricket Goodwin is more of a long term 3 than Connolly, Hardie at 4, Connolly at 5 and Inglis at 6.....wouldn't mind Wyllie coming in for Whiteman or Bancroft....even get the young fella from Freo with the Saffie surname ...Hoogenbouzen - or something like thatGoodwin is 11th on runs this year tbf, and I don't really see Connolly as a 3 long term
Solid team, no Marsh or Green? This would include if guys weren't on international duty either.I’ll take a punt, on Shield at least.

I could accept Goodwin at 3, Connolly later, Turner out. But if I’m making room for one of Connolly or Goodwin, it’s Connolly. He performed in the pressure of the Shield final, he’s excelling at BBL, he would have played ahead of Goodwin and Fanning if he wasn’t on international duty, then injured. He’s the future, imo.Goodwin is 11th on runs this year tbf, and I don't really see Connolly as a 3 long term
Geez, that makes it even tougher. If I’m honest, I think Marsh gets squeezed out by the combo of Green and Hardie. White ball specialist.Solid team, no Marsh or Green? This would include if guys weren't on international duty either.
I mean, his current red ball form suggests otherwise (albeit against the world’s best bowler). Green is ahead of him every day of the week (State and National). Not sure I’d drop Hardie for him and I’d be loath to play three all rounders as the balance of the team would be way off.Marsh easily makes the team if available
He has barely played shield but dominated when he did the last couple of years
He'd play. Like, sure, he's not playing well right now but there's a bit of difference between Jasprit Bumrah, Siraj and Deep and McAndrew, Buckingham and DoggettI mean, his current red ball form suggests otherwise (albeit against the world’s best bowler). He’s a a 33-year-old with a FC average the same as his age (I can’t isolate his Shield average, maybe someone can help). It’s not like he’s a giant of FC cricket. Would be first picked for white ball but I think I’m picking Hardie ahead of him. Cartwright is in good form this season. I guess you could drop Connolly for him but three all rounders from 3-5 and sacrificing the future (who is in form himself) is not a choice I’d make. He'd play.
