I wouldn't stress to much about the shaved ham, he's not averse to kicking the ants nest on here.
I don't know Russell personally and have only spoken to him a handful of times, but he seems to divide people. He obviously has strong points, evidenced by his healthy list of contacts he seems to be able to tap into where ever he goes, but at both West and Hamilton there have been players who have been less than happy with his methods and approach. He's certainly very headstrong, stubborn and oldschool in the way he gets things done, and the idea he wants to develop a list through existing youth is probably out of character to what he has shown in this league. Maybe he sees some very healthy young talent up there, but I would suggest if that is the case it is doing a diservice to the two clubs he's been at here, as certainly Hamilton had some outstanding youth when he joined them and it is questionable how well they were utilised or developed in that time.
Good luck, he might be the right fit for what you need, but i would of said he is better suited for a side that is already a contender and not one looking to develop.

I'm hearing East are getting alot of players back that headed off to the KNFL. Both Buckley's and maybe Scanlon may be at East next year plus a few. Could go alright as West have lost plenty.
Any word Portland way?

Wouldn't get too excited there Boston tiger, fairly sure they only lost 3 to KNTFL, with Mc Cracken being the only useful one. Never saw any of the others ever do much in the best players at Kyby. Tant will sign 1 if not 2 of those boys so it wont matter anyway.

Last I heard crackers and K Cook had told the club they were giving the game away. Unsure on buckley and im not aware of a scanlon playing in the kntfl...were you talking about matt? Any confirmed signings so far...from any club ???

Talking about Frazer Scanlon, who has moved from Adelaide, but has also done that a few times before and moved back. Has been a while since he has played at Western Border level though. Bit quiet in Vic still, no news? Portland still throwing cash at players from other Western Border players??

took the roos to final once and nearly bankrupted the club, went to Berri footy club did the same there and got no where as soon as he left they won the flag, went to hamilton and paid big money for a side that never looked like making finals and they never did.

If this news is true it will be a huge loss to East and the WBFL, particularly with Slape. East can ill afford to lose talent like that and will continue to see this club slide down the tube. shame on the management of this club to see it continue to lose out to other clubs

Both Ridley boys going to the Burr, Dylan got an apprenticeship through them, kinda sucks really that a player can sit back and put that over a club, how about get off your arse and find your own job. No loyalty after the fair go he was given at A grade, still these are the times we live in. McGrath is going to Tant, hates the Burr, so much for family. Murray as far as I can find out is staying. The secret circle is confident that they have a ruckman but no names. Does anyone smell coffee burning?

I think you will find that porto will a okay. always will. points system for porto means they can bring in more players than anyone than casterton and millicent. we only have locals so all players are at a low level already! watch out if they bring in this system and porto want to dominate!

Ive heard of one but woudn't know if it has started or how it is enforced.
On the topic of youth, does anyone know if any of the North old boys have moved on or retired? Heard Brooks may have retired and a couple going to Mid SE.
