With pick 52 (can't believe he's slid this far) the Geelong Cats unfortunately select...

JACK OUGH

Position: Wing/midfielder

Size: 194cm

Clubs: GWV Rebels/Wentworth

AFL player comparison: Joel Freijah

Put himself on the radar with a strong finish to his 2024 campaign. After averaging 13.5 touches from four matches for Vic Country in the carnival where he impressed with his workrate, Ough starred across an eight-game stretch for the Rebels, averaging 25.1 disposals, 5.0 tackles and 4.3 marks where he spent more time on the ball. Against the Geelong Falcons, he amassed 33 disposals, 20 contested possessions and nine clearances as he showed off an improving inside game. Considering his height and versatility, clubs are optimistic he could be an inside midfielder at AFL level — to the point where some believe he’d be worth of being taken inside the top 30.

Pick 53 Collingwood FC
OLLIE WARBURTON Shepparton Swans FC.

Midfielder/defender selection for the pies last pick.

Prominent ball winner that had a strong showing at the national champs and excellent season with the Bushrangers.

Good size and being a sheep boy you know he’ll have a crack.

Sydney Pick 54 - Joshua Murphy

Sydney’s forward line needs as much bostering as it can get at the moment. Joshua managed a 74cm vertical leap in the state combine which would have placed him in the top three for that catagory in the National Combine. Kicked 2 goals plus in 3 of his 4 appearances for the allies including game high numbers in 2 games. Kicked a couple of 6 goal games for Murray and 32 for the season, I’m honestly not sure why he didn’t get a combine invite except for the fact this draft runs so deep. Good set of hands, nice kicking action. I think Sydney would prefer a small forward for list balance here but at pick 54 I think Joshua is too good to pass.

Pick 55 North Melbourne selects Bailey McKenzie from the Sandy Dragons, a 192cm Forward who kicked 27 goals from 10 CTL games this year. While they'd ideally like another 2nd true tall to play alongside Larkey, McKenzie is good in the air for his size and takes the ball out in front, but is also mobile and agile enough to worry a KPD if the ball hits the deck.
