Impressive debutant for Albion on Saturday, the young kid showed some speed and skill and took a hanger in the second quarter. Continues the run of young guys stepping up from U18s to Senior footy in the WRFL this year. Philpot was dominant in the ruck, and Bloomfield unstoppable up forward.

Poor performance by the Warriors. Lots of injuries, but didn't really recruit anybody either to replace some handy players who departed. Mutton in his 300th club game was close to their best.

Disagree. I think the processes may have been wrong and that I'm sure will change come the end of the season, I would be shocked if they didn't get alot of there players back to the club along with outside recruits to make them a contender again.

Footyman, do you think any of the blokes running on Saturday should try there hand at a higher level?? Any Michael Barlow types??
 
Tige - you would have to agree that the people in power at HCFC assumed a lot of the boys would be at the club this year without so much as a phone call. AE himself said recruitment wasnt his responsibility..... hopefully they have learned there lesson on both fronts. (coach, & recruitment)

hows things up in Undies anyway?

I'll just say the process could have been better Biz and it would be silly of the club to go down that path again, I suppose when Jack was in charge he ran a tight ship and kept everything structured. Hopefully come 2011 a heap of the boys are back and HCFC can move forward and challenge again, I really believed we were only a CHF away from having a premiership
side last year.

Umm the Undies are going well, having a bit of fun. Surprised at the standard of some of the teams, exceeded what I thought.

my missus would take a one legged pygmy over my bald ginger ass. still dont know why she married me.

hoppers dont have enough coin for me. Carlton are looking for a Pods/ Barlow type, so fingers crossed....
 
Hasnt been much talk from the weekends games other than hoppers talk about how many players they have lost again!

Good win by Albion against the odds.. everyone expected them to distruct after a few walk outs..
Could be the best thing ever for the Cats as they are nre loading up with LOCAL kids and may surprise some teams in the run homw with the youth!

Couldve got big odds at the start of year that the Colts and Hoppers wouldnt be part of finals action. (granted there is a long way to go, but its a likely scenario)..

Apart from spotty 2nd to 7th is pretty even....
Looks as if one of the colts or hoppers may miss, so massive game this week for both clubs.
I still think we will make finals with a favourable run home and hopefully a little luck with injuries.
Other than sunshine and spotty all spots are still up for grabs, so will be a very interesting and exciting run home, good for wrfl footy.
 
Has the bubble burst at the Sunshine Football Club? I would say yes, at the clubs biggest event on the calendar the mid year ball a brawl errupted between coaching staff and their biggest recruit. Patrick Wiggins king hit Grant Setterfield who is the reserves coach after it is claimed Wiggins is on far more money than what he is producing on the paddock. This esculated to pot shots being thrown from different parties that has split the club. The players and officials where sworn to secrecy to stop this from getting out (alittle late lads there is a snich in the camp) This follows rumors that the clubs playing and coaching staff are not happy with the hierachy, it's claimed he has no idea about football and is only businness man who is their for self promotion rather than the club. Many feel he can't relate to the needs of a sporting club as his ego gets in the way. The wheels are falling off at Sunshine and all they need is a couple of losses to see the real vultures appear.

If true i'm sure it's just a minor hiccup, all clubs face multiple issues through the year....especially when alcohol is involved. Plenty of grown men stuff up when on the sauce, shake hands and forget about it.

Personally he may not be kicking huge amounts but wiggins has certainly shown he can trouble the best defences in the league, helping the kangas beat a side no other team can get near.

Only thing you got right is that there was an incident between Grant & Patty which has been resolved and dealt with by the club. I have no idea how much any player gets paid so i can't see how the coaching staff could think he isn't producing value for money. I'm the senior coach and i think Wiggins has been a stand out for us this year

Not that i have to reply or justify anything but thought i'd also say that the president is doing a great job and has nothing to do with the football department. The committee run the club and the coaching staff look after the on field stuff, if there happens to be an issue at anytime WE work through them TOGETHER

Perhaps the so called "snitch" should join a committee and have a say publically rather than getting someone else to do do it for him!!

Thanks for the heads up Brett, if you feel so strongly about the side you are coaching you should possibly change your profile from Port Colts to Sunshine (I know i wouldn't)

The few people I consulted before writing my post where all of the same opinion that all is not as good as it seems at Sunshine and will implode sooner rather than later.I know you are the senior coach and have fobed my post off as just a storm in a tea cup but where there's smoke there's fire.

I can only imagine you blokes spend more time on your comedy routines instead of actually training down at west footscray? Perhaps the other way around may see some improvement in your on field performance??

Seems that you like to cause a bit of shit after reading ur other posts that included bad mouthing Rock and getting stuck into Jensen. Then posting mislead facts about the events of saturday night. There was an altercation, everything is sweet now and seriously the president has full respect as he is trying to build the best run club in the league. The whole bigfooty public all knows that you do need to spend coin to win premierships and our president is working tirelessly to generate more money into our football club to make us a powerhouse of this competition. Every player on our list is aware of this so i would be dumbfounded to hear of any other opinions from the players. He's ego definately doesnt get in the way of this. Wiggo didnt do any king hitting and he and Setters have patched up things. There will be no wheels falling off at Sunshine Football Club this year!

I am here to state what I am lead to beileve are facts, the only thing that is not true in all my posts was that I was sitting with Bloomfield ( I don't even know the bloke) There must be some truth to the rumors as running to the defend the credability of the president after a simple post was placed on a forum is alittle conspicuous. Possibly in the future you may try and ingnore posts if you believe they are untrue or ilinformed as now it looks like your reply enhances your clubs cover up.

So let me get this straight, on a public forum you have the right to question someones credibility... but a response is classed as conspicuous. You put it out there for comment - thats what your getting!!

Our committee as a whole are doing a great job, and for those who dont think so I look forward to seeing then join the committee next season.
