something along these lines has to happen.......im from d/p and would love to see my club back where it belongs in div 1 but if the finances arnt there i can see from a commitee perspective why they have chosen not to.......people say heights didnt have money maybe they didnt i dont know but they were in a much better possie(in terms of player list) than d/p are at the minuite........west well i dont know why they even went up......this(them getting relegated) was always on the cards.......
Just because a club has been in Div 1 in the past doesnt mean that is where it belongs.
All clubs have different ways of doing things. We chose to just go up and have a crack, regradless of playing list or finances. Our club loves a challenge and never walks away from one.
Deer Park have chosen to bide there time in Div 2 and build up a bank hoping that they get another crack and expecting to make a big impact when/IF this happens. Each to their own as they say.
The end result is that regardless of what happens from now on we have earnt a fair bit of respect within the football community and Deer Park is being laughed at.
